Before parking my Lobo for the winter installed 17" steel wheels with Continental Vikingcontact 8's.
The truck is ready to go should something happen to my 2013 Focus.
The Focus has General Arctic Altimax 12's on steel wheels.
These are the guidelines I use for oil and oil change intervals.
Conventional oil, 5000km to 7000km or 3000 to 4500 miles.
Synthetic blend, 7000km to 10,000km. Or 4500 to 6000 miles.
Full synthetic, 10,000km to 15000k. Or 6000 to 10,000 miles.
Under ideal conditions you can use the higher...
They are both
With DOHC and 4 valve heads the Coyotes to make crazy power.
The downside is the width of the engine.
The Godzilla is one of the most efficient 2 valve pushrod engines.
And, it is narrower than the Coyote.
The second gen Sport Trac (Explorer with a box)had the 4.6 mod motor.
The Ranger and Explorer shared the frame. The rear suspension is where they differed.
It's all relative to the ambient air temperature.
If the intake air is coming form outside the engine bay it will be cooler than the air around the engine and will help the intake charge.
When dyno testing an engine there is a correction factor that adjusts the the results to a standard...
A "Cold air intake filter" is exactly what the name implies.
The intake air is cooler and therefore more dence which should produce more power.
It does not necessarily allow more air flow.
I would disconnect the battery for 8 hours (overnight). The computer will reset and then have to readjust the the info from the sensors.
The 8 hour reset is also a wise thing to do if you are replacing a dead battery.
More way off topic.
That was the storm of the century.
Montreal was on the verge of loosing power to the water and sewage pumps.
St Jean, a small town about 40km from Montreal was hit hard. All the major power towers collapsed, they lost power for weeks. CNR lifted locomotives off the tracks...
