DUDE! Officially drool-worthy build 🤤🤤 The lighting is totally overkill, but in the best way possible. Always fun to see these kinds of builds, but even more fun to hear that it's being used for its purpose. Good on you!
Fair play. You didn't mention if your dealer charges a convenience fee for card use, only that they have a max amount based on payment method. They would be silly if they don't charge a fee, for the reasons you just laid out.
I understand your post - I'll try to be more clear. There's a financial incentive for them to get you to finance more. If you're not financing, they're not making any money on financing. In that case, allowing credit card use doesn't directly affect their profit.
For example, if you're...
You're cutting into their finance reserve by putting more money down and not financing as much - typically the bigger the loan, the more the dealer gets paid for writing it. Reducing the loan amount by using your card for a down payment is a negative for them. Even if they charge you a...
FX4 owner here - I replaced the stock Pirelli Scorpions at about 1k miles with the same size Falken Wildpeaks you have on your Tremor from the factory. Tire noise, braking/turning, and MPG changes were noticeable (and negative) but pretty negligible. I don't find the Falkens to be an overly...
Just spitballing, but a 3/4 place sled trailer like that weighs around 2500lbs empty and one sled weighs around 500-600lbs - assuming that's what this trailer is for. So empty, well within spec - loaded would be asking for internet berating
I can see your logic on principle and would agree that more "luxury" trims will depreciate more in gross terms, but it's sort of academic. I have a hard time seeing an XL being worth more than a similar XLT or Lariat trim. Trim level only partially dictates value; mileage and condition trump...
So if you're going to use your Maverick like a car, why bother with AT tires that will only harm fuel economy and add road noise compared to a normal passenger car tire? I love my Wildpeak Trails, had them on two different vehicles; they're great for my application, but yours sounds quite...
Unfortunately, this is an internet forum and not a direct communication method to reach Ford corporate. Even the "official" Ford account on the forum will not serve as a conduit for your communication. You might get input from other members by posting here, but if you have questions for Ford...
I had a little oopsie and needed a front bumper cover (which is 2 pieces evidently), a side marker light, wheel refinishing, and some paint work - it was about $4k. Everything was fully operational and looked much less damaged than yours, but was still exceedingly expensive to repair/replace...
Yeah, since this is a recall, a dealer would be obligated to perform it if they have your vehicle for service. They can't force you to bring it in for the recall, but if they have their hands on it and don't do it, that would be a problem (beyond just being poor service).
Could this be a case of correlation and not causation? The reprogramming was for emissions conditions at 'maximum speed', which doesn't read like something that would greatly reduce fuel mileage.
Sorry, that's not how it works. That's the dealer's Maverick until you pay for it and the title is transferred to you; unfortunately, you have no control over what happens. Heck, they're not really obligated to sell it to you either, even though you ordered it (they should be, but plenty of...
I'll bite. As an avid ground camper, with 2-person and 6-person tents, you definitely can't pitch a tent everywhere you can park a truck, so that's one advantage of a rooftop. As OP mentioned, they're convenient, as setup/pack up time is less than 5 minutes - my 6-person takes minimum 30 from...
