My first car was a 1973 Ford Maverick with the 200 ci straight 6. I would never have considered getting under way until the car stopped idling high and settled in. I guess that's not something to worry about any more. Old habits are hard to break.
1. The hybrid has a vacuum on the fuel system I think. When you push the button, the vacuum is removed allowing the door to pop open.
As far as the different mpg on the years, I don't know.
Currently in my hybrid I am getting 49.7 mpg. That is running my normal 52 mile commute. This has been for the last 2 months. I will take that all day long. My brother has a plug in hybrid escape and I'm within 10 mpg with him. My commute is mixed highway/town driving so I'm traveling between 35...
I had this same problem last spring. I got stranded on the interstate and towed my truck to my dealer 2 hours away. They had it fixed within 2 weeks. Why so long a wait on the part?
In a normal car, you start the motor and let it run to allow the oil and lubicants to flow around the engine before getting under way. At least I do, especially on cold mornings. The hybrid however doesn't start until it is needed. When I first take off it's on battery only and then the motor...
Hey, here is a bed accessory I made to keep certain cargo from getting damp in the bed if the tonneau cover leaks.
Many covers leak in the corners, so I made a collapsible central storage unit that can be easily stowed when you need the bed for other things.
it works great.
Ryobi makes a great high quality air pump. It can do both inflate and deflate for air matress and can inflate your car. I accidentally left mine out in the rain overnight and it didn't hurt it. Perfect for under the seat readiness. It will also turn itself off when it reaches your preset...
The webpage says it now because it is included with the lux package now. Toward the end of 2022, it was taken off the lux package for 2023 models. I know because when I first ordered my 2022 model, the XLT lux came with the spray-in bed liner. Then it was changed to the drop-in bed liner, and...
On the hybrid, I have found that with the cruise on in eco mode, the throttle adjustments are more gradual than in normal mode. Anyone else notice this?
When my 22 was converted to a 23, The dealer placed it to a priority 19. Within a short time, Ford changed it to a priority 2 and they scheduled me within a month.
I like a thick steering wheel and I have the heated steering wheel which I covered with a thicker cover for the warm months when I won't be using the heater. I will store the cover under the back seat when it gets cold and put it back on next spring.
