Your eCVT is much āgentlerā on transmission fluid than an EB - which depending on mileage can see improvement (or degradation) depending on mileage.
But changing the fluid in your eCVT will be akin to changing your engine coolant. Probably wonāt notice any performance changeā¦
If you used 91 instead of 87 over all those miles on your F150 - you would have spent an additional $3,500 or so. What would that have gotten you?
1) Your engine today would get about 10% more horsepower.
2) Would be getting slightly better mpgās.
3) Your engine would be cleaner & healthier...
Any Top Tier octane level will contain the same cleaning additives fyi. However, they squirt more additive into the tank truck depending on octane level being transported.
This will not improve performance - at least in the short term. In the long term, however, a slightly cleaner engine raised...
My ābuttonsā are still displayed and function with the screen off (25 Lobo). I turn my screen off if Iām not using navigation.
Luckily you do not need to go to settings to turn off. It is the button to the left of hazards on my truckā¦
There are many cases of the Hybrid low speed thunk and a few examples on the EB.
There are different causes, however. The Hybridās thunk is still an unsolved mystery - while the EB thunk is the auto trans downshifting with a blip of rev matching.
When I drive a manual (no longer) and approach...
Yes, there are an increasing number of Mavericks on the road. But if you bought a Tacoma in 2022, you would see THEM everywhere and be oblivious to the Mavericks. Just our minds playing tricks on us;)
Air filters slowly get dusty - and dust actually attracts dust making it more effective. But eventually and quickly gets too dusty to be effective. A āhockey stickā function.
Anyway, a clogged air filter can hurt mpgās.
Maybe check your filter? Probably not the reason but a quick & easy thing...
That seems so weird to me - was not aware of that fact. I rarely use my horn. I find it impolite. Will only use it if startling the recipient will avoid an accident. Almost always my brakes are enough of a safety device. And being very aware of my surroundings. Defensive driver as I was taught...
My Lobo OEM fog lights will not turn on during the day if headlights are set to āautoā. By design.
I put amber over my fog lights to use during daytime for the cool look. I have to turn the headlights to āonā. Luckily the headlights dim to running light mode during daylight.
If you have a good relationship with your dealer - certainly take it to them.
Although, I rotate my own tires & do my own oil changes. Yes, final torque tightening should be done with vehicle on ground. Also want to slightly loosen them before lifting.
The picture shows a Tech doing it...
Back then the forum debates were about how often you should feed your horse:)
Of course, it was easier to spot a neglected horse back then than a neglected engine is today.
Yes, the demand for the common colors is huge - but so is the supply.
The demand for fad colors is very small - but the supply is even smaller.
The quoted study on resale value is based on the limited supply of fad colors. The original study was done years agoā¦not sure if the study in the OP...
All within spec - should be a good choice.
Maybe the noise canceling system also has a vibration enhancement feature? Sorry, bad joke.
Maybe Heybales has a point that the heavier new tires stressed a pre-existing condition?
Seems the tire shop (and you;)) are in the clear - but the mystery...
What size Scorpian AS Plus 3s did you get?
Those tires have a ānoise cancelingā feature that adds weight to the wheel. If the tire size & weight differs substantially from OEM - it might not be the tire shops fault entirely.
Thicker oil is a band aid on the problem.
In the never ending quest to make modern engines frictionless - a problem slipped through the cracks on this engine design - pun intended:)
Problem showed up after new tire install.
Driveshaft would not be affected unless truck was lifted improperly and something on the unibody was ābentā?
