I tried that as well, I even called and asked but was told that He may work somewhere there but he didn't know. I did get a discount, but it seemed generic but was about 20% off retail. The Gator FX3 is very similar to the factory hardcover tri fold but substantially less expensive.
Congratulations, I am loving my Lariat Hybrid thus far and I have been thrilled with everything except the Audio, I expected better from B&O. My Subaru Foresters factory Harmon Kardon upgrade kicks the B&O's butt. I will be looking for and aftermarket sub to replace the wimpy factory one.
I will do a review on the Gator FX3 Tri Fold (very similar to the REV sold by Ford) installation and if water leaks in anywhere but being out of rainy season the water test will be from an automated car wash.
I narrowed it down to the BAK G2 or the Gator FX3 and went with the FX3. Both had lots of positive reviews and are very similar to the REV/Factory Ford covers.
Glad to hear that not all dealerships rip you off, I almost (and should have) walked away but after such a long wait and less than a 50 % of even getting one I caved. I do love my truck and am only one of three in my small town.
Congratulation's!!! I quit counting early on and almost asked for my deposit back and am glad I didn't. Loving my Hybrid but qouick question, did your dealership have an ADM fee? (ADM = additional dealer markup on high demand vehicles)
All of the low priced covers are basically just vinyl stretched over a frame. It will cover the bed area but would not give much security and water intrusion is more likely. I have a fabric cover on my 72 El Camino SS and I hate it as it collects moisture and debris, sags in the middle. I have...
Thank you for the better photo, you may have just made up my mind. I thought some of my conversations were with Gator but it turned out it is Real Truck and if they get me close to your price I think my mind will be made up.
I am not sure but I do like the idea and thats how the Ford offered cover works. I have also looked at the quick removal light weight covers so I'm not set either way.
Thank You for your Reply, I am looking seriously at the Gator FX, I have read comments that sound like it's a bifold, not tri fold. Can you tell me how many sections as I cannot see it in your photo but do see the rods for securing it against the cab.
I am researching hard bed covers and although I remember seeing a thread on this subject months ago, I actually now have a truck to put it on. Anyone that has installed one on their truck and likes it, Please let me know who and what info. Thank you in advance.
I felt the same way, never got any of the information so many others recieved and then out of the blue, my salesrep calls me and says your truck is here. It was minus the spray in bedliner and the adaptive cruise control however it did have nearly 4K ADM.
I will likely never buy another new car (but you never know) and I feel kinda the same way. Ford is trying to eliminate this problem as they move to all electric and goes the way of Tesla having showroom/maintenance facilities' where all sales are direct and not through salespersons at said...
I got the same kind of treatment from my dealer as well, On my order I had the spray in bedliner and adaptive cruise control. Both were missing and no discount for MCA member. What they did do was they added an ADM fee of 3995.00. I was mad and almost walked out but I was Happy that I finally...
No, I was unable to order a 22 (by two days) and had been waiting for 23 orders to open up, I had been talking to my salesperson repeatedly. I went there to order as soon as 23 orders were open Thanks to the information on this site. This is why I was shocked when it got here but I always...
No issues here and I wish you the best with your purchase, may your dealership have more scruples than mine. I had also asked my salesperson at time of my order if they would try and do any markup and he gave me a non answer that I thought meant no upcharges. This small town dealership never...
