The 2025 has multi port injection as well as direct injection. Ford made this change in pretty much all their turbo engines. Supposed to cut down on carbon problems.
Since the fuel tank is pressurized, how is moisture getting in the fuel system. This is not your father's truck from 20 to 30 years ago. I have never had moisture buildup in my crankcase from the atmosphere.
It is a 2023 XL. I picked it up June 2023. My camera worked fine before the update, but it is more clear and crisp and I think faster. There are some other things about the truck program that I believe is different. I am not going to comment on them until I have had more time to be sure.
It took the Mobile Tech about 7 hours to do mine. He went back to the dealership and brought back every program thumb drive they had and finally got it to take. They would completely load the update then it would bomb when the ran the check digit verification. The tech didn't know what the...
There may be a recall on the recall. Mobile Tech got to my driveway at 8:00 AM and left at 11:00 AM. I don't know how many times he tried to load it. Said he was going back to the dealership to get a different version of the update. He came back at 1:30 PM , with every thumb drive they had...
The only thing that is used from the original Mazda engine is the bare block. The rest of the engine is different to get the Atkinson design. I think I will stick with what the engineers recommend.
Seems that a lot of people here get their news from here, Reddit, and Facebook. If you checked the real news, you would find that the NHTSA just hit Ford with 165 million in fines and consent degrees. Included in this is the backup camera problem, which I think stops delivery untill it is...
The NTSA just hit Ford with $165,000,000 in fines for not solving the back up camera freezing in a timely manner. Also not solving the 12 volt battery problems in a timely manner. I think there is mandatory recalls on both these issues. Ford will have to prove that these issues are corrected...
My xl still has everything it came from the factory with. 0 issues in 15 months. I have been on this forum for about 1 years, it looks like keyless start and bad batteries are the main problem. If you are concerned about security get rid of your cell phone, it shares 100 times the information...
There were a very few bad engines, they knew how many but not what vehicles they were installed in. It would have been poor business to recall thousands of trucks for less than 100 bad engines. The extended warranty was the smart move.
My 2023 XL Hybrid with CP 360 has had zero problems in 15 months. I also trickle charge my mobility scooter on a plugin 800 watt inverter. So I am not even going to look.
