Changed the color of my steelies (to brass monkey w/ black center cap) for xmas!

I might try this, its going to probably be a while until I can get wheels and really want black ones on my truck. Thanks for the info!

It's actually plastidip, DipYourCar wheel kit.

Oxford White - the fastest color since it reflects the sun the best!

I left the wheels on the car, I just made a cardboard box big enough to go around the tires, so it was kind of a mini booth for me to knee down in front of the wheels to spray.

I didn't do the deck of cards since it peels off the tires pretty easily.

Well, I'll be dipped!

I saw someone else on here painted their rims black and then got some hubcaps, looked pretty good too.
I prefer the look of the dark steelies.
now, want to talk about color blindness, I didn’t realize the hubs and wheels were different colors until we got the close up.

Yep. You may have to bend the clips slightly but they snap right on.

I have been contemplating to buy these center cap ever since I saw the original post with your truck and another one with these center caps. If I do I am not sure if I will keep it as is or dip it. It looks great as is with the black truck 100%!

My top colors for the Mav was Cactus or Area 51, ended with Oxford white. Now that I have been in this forum it seems like you can't go wrong with ANY of the colors. They all look great! Not that black was at the bottom of my list or anything, I only had worries of maintaining the perfection on a black vehicle.

Me too! Found a set of steelies at a good price for the snow tires.

Same Idea! Steelies for winter even though I wouldn't mind rolling around all year round with them. I have a couple more months of sleepless nights and thinking of what to throw on for the other 3 seasons.

I will probably do it over again during spring time since there were blemishes and some learning/practice was needed. I color matched MAVERICK tailgate emblem to the wheels, but had a bad strategy that caused a lot of rough edges around emblems. Will have to redo that as well and find a better backdrop and brighter day to take a real picture.

Only 2nd week of ownership so I was a bit rushed with the cold weather.

That's the one thing I'll change out day two. Wish I could of just ordered XL with XLT wheel choices. Haven't ask the dealer anything yet though..
