We're excited to announce that custom tuning support is now available for the 2025-2026 Ford Maverick 2.0L EcoBoost, and you can now purchase the HP Tuners RTD Device and PandaTuned calibrations directly from Panda Motorworks.

The Maverick EcoBoost has been one of our favorite platforms to work with over the last few years. We’ve tested different fuels, modifications, and tuning setups, put thousands of miles on our R&D truck, and learned a lot along the way. Now we can bring all of that experience over to the 2025-2026 Mavericks.

Introducing the HP Tuners RTD

With tuning support now available for the 2025-2026 Maverick, we've partnered with HP Tuners to deliver an incredibly simple remote tuning experience.

The HP Tuners RTD (Remote Tuning Device) replaces the need for bulky handheld programmers with a modern, cloud-based tuning platform.

Using HP Tuners' Tune Delivery Network (TDN) app, your Maverick connects directly to your smartphone.

With just a few taps you can:

• Flash your custom tune
• Read and clear diagnostic trouble codes
• Record datalogs
• Upload logs directly to our calibrator
• Receive tune revisions automatically through the cloud

Built on the same foundation as HP Tuners' professional MPVI3 hardware, the RTD provides professional grade capability in a customer-friendly package.

At Panda Motorworks, we don't believe in chasing dyno numbers just for marketing.

Every tune we release is backed by extensive real world testing and thousands of miles of validation before it ever reaches a customer.

Our original Maverick R&D truck spent over 20,000 miles on our Stage 1 calibration before moving on to Stage 2 development. That testing allowed us to fine-tune drivability, reliability, and consistency, not just peak horsepower.

Even with these minimal modifications, the results were impressive.

One of the biggest surprises during development was discovering just how capable the factory fuel system is. The stock system comfortably supported an ethanol blend of up to E50, opening the door for substantial performance gains without requiring additional fuel system upgrades.


Stage 2 Takes Things Even Further

Once Stage 1 testing was complete, we added one of the most beneficial upgrades available for the Maverick EcoBoost, a larger intercooler.

Using the CVF Performance Intercooler, we recalibrated the truck and continued our testing.

Stage 2 Results

93 Octane

• +40 HP
• +47 lb-ft Torque

E50

• +65 HP
• +60 lb-ft Torque

For a relatively simple bolt-on setup, these gains are outstanding.

The 2.0L EcoBoost has always been an impressive engine, and with years of experience tuning this platform across multiple Ford applications, we knew there was significant potential waiting to be unlocked.

All of the dyno data published is based on 93 octane since that's what's readily available to us here, but we do offer both 91 and 93 octane tunes.

If 91 is what's easily available where you live, we can absolutely optimize the tune for 91. You won't be giving up much either, as the power difference between our 91 and 93 calibrations is pretty minimal.

Great, too bad there’s no easy route to automatically adjustable flex fuel. But I definitely would go for an optimized 91 tune since I put in 91 all the time anyway. I just don’t wanna heavily mod this engine and frankly they sound terrible so I’m definitely not putting an exhaust on it

Yes, tuning can affect your extended warranty.

As far as MPG, it really depends on how you drive it. When driven normally, you may actually see a slight improvement due to the changes we make to transient fueling, timing tables, etc. Of course, if you’re taking advantage of the extra power all the time, you can expect mileage to drop.

If you're getting the whole Ford Performance Maverick turbo upgrade kit, it comes with a tune from Ford/Livernois that should preserve your warranty. I personally would try that first and stick with it as long as possible or until the warranty is up.

Back in my day a set of hooker headers and a 650 CFM 4 Barrel and a bigger Cam would set you back a thousand and give no more than 65% of your stage one increase.
