I wanted to put together a clean breakdown of where my Maverick is currently at on the exterior. The pictures show the main labeled parts, but there are a few other pieces on the truck that are not labeled in the photos, so I wanted to include everything here.

I’ve been trying to keep the build simple, functional, and usable for the way I actually use the truck. It is still a work in progress, but this is the current setup.

Roof / Rack / Overland Setup

Exterior / Body

Lighting Setup
All the lighting on the truck is from F150LEDs. I went this route because I wanted everything to match and work together instead of mixing random bulbs and kits from different places.

The truck has F150LEDs lighting all around, including the hood lights, lower intake light bar, front bulbs, rear bulbs, cargo/third brake lighting, interior lighting, and engine bay lighting.

Front Lighting
Rear Lighting
The interior will be its own post because there is a lot more going on inside the truck. Very excited to share that setup soon because I think it may be one of the first setups like it in a Maverick.

Overlanding in a hybrid? Joyous madness! 👀

Please tell us you have some sort of skid plate protecting the HV battery.

Yeah, I just double checked and RIVAL seems to be the main option right now. The full setup adds up quick though; engine skid plate is $369, cat skid plate is $249, and the driver/passenger underside plates are $499 each, so all four come out to $1,616 before tax and shipping. Definitely something I’m looking into, but I’m also hoping more companies eventually come out with options for the Maverick.

I get the Jeep comparison 😂 but this isn’t trying to be one.

It’s a hybrid daily that’s pulling overland duty, running full lighting, rack + tent setup, and still getting solid MPG.

Skid plates are coming too; Just doing it right instead of rushing parts.

Sounds like someone should have bought a BRONCO.
:’P
Fixed it for you 😉. JP I actually looked hard at gladiators before the mav. I love jeeps. Although I do believe the bronco is a better platform. I wish they would offer it with a 5.0

And it not cost EightyfriggenTHOUSAND !

Around here the Bronco is the top trade in for a Maverick.
I think people discover pretty soon the Bronco Is a bit too much truck 90% of the time.

Up here ‘Overland Duty’ requires a real 4X4
Not a car type AWD.
From what I’ve seen jacking it up one or two inches does not cut it, causes problems down the road.

Much like people with full size trucks. People buy jeeps with the intention of exploring off the beaten path but don’t want to scratch or dirty their investment. My Jeep scrambler goes off road but in Florida our trails are mild and I don’t put it in brackish or salt water so I guess I could fall into the same category lol.

Respectfully, that’s a pretty outdated way of looking at it. Overlanding isn’t defined by having a ‘real 4x4,’ it’s defined by how the vehicle is used. Most people out actually traveling aren’t rock crawling every weekend. They’re covering distance, managing gear, and building systems that work reliably over time.

A small lift and a thoughtful setup aren’t meant to turn it into a trail rig—they’re meant to improve clearance, usability, and efficiency for the kind of terrain it actually sees. There’s a difference between building for capability and building for practicality.

I’d rather have something that performs consistently in real-world use than something built around edge-case scenarios just to check a box. But I get that a lot of people still default to drivetrain labels instead of how the vehicle is actually being used
