Previous sevice done in March was about grinding in rear end. They said oh we were able to duplicate and did a fluid change on rearend. Said if I felt anyrhing wrong bring it back as that was a far as warranty would let them go. I have now noticed a few occasiions when I make a right turn from stop I have a slight wooble coming from left rear wheel. Also feel I still am experiencing the grinding. About 2 times now wuen I was leaving work somethung was sticking and broke free and staryed moving. Said it was because I dont have the right tires. .... It has Factory tires.

Block their number and find another dealer. Stupidity is rampant and I can tolerate it. Lies are another matter.

I don't see anything alarming in the coolant. I just swapped out the coolant in my wife's car (different make, different color coolant, but same concept) and the reservoir had all kinds of stuff in it after a few years. It is normal.

If I wanted to waste my time and be an ass about it, I'd take the window sticker back to Galloway, show them the tire size there vs. what's on the truck, and ask them why they recommend something different than what comes off the line at the factory. ;)

How did you deal with this problem? I discovered black flakes in my coolant as well, and I wanted to know what solution they gave you or if they figured out where the problem is coming from. At the dealership, they gave me an appointment to replace the fluid, but the day hasn’t come yet. Thank you very much.

I did a coolant flush myself. Dealer said I put tap water in it to make that happen. I never added anything. My co worker has a Mav as well and opt for the mobile service and I watched and took photo of them putting in tap water. The warranty is a joke. No one wants to honor a warranty. They always say tech couldnt duplicate the issue. They want your warranty to run out the they can nail it to ya. Fuck Ford....

Take a copy of the paperwork, get ahold of the local Ford rep and send it to them. Also a letter to Ford might help, too much of this going on these days.
You are being taken advantage of and dealers seem much less helpful since the economy has turned south.

Regular water should not do that. Vacuum out reservoir and refill with distilled water. See if it returns.

Thank you very much for replying! How many kilometers have you driven since the cleaning? Did the scales appear again? The service is unfortunate everywhere. In 10 days, I'll have to fight over this issue with my dealership.

Ordered truck from Ford. Tires are factory Continentals. I have a wooble when I make a right hand turn tuat goes away pretty fast then smooth. Tires have been rotated every 10,000 miles. Tires have about 20,000 miles left.
So, you have about 36,000 miles on the factory continental tires. That is unusual because most Maverick owners are getting 20,000 - 25,000 on them. I'm curious how you determined these tires still have 20,000 miles left on them.

Our 2019 Escape Continentals looked pretty good at 32,000. I opted to change them because it’s primarily my wife’s car and we have some very hot roads in south Texas during the summer.

Not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison since the Escape has different size tires, smaller engine, etc. I got about 20,000 on my 22 EB FWD. It might be interesting to do a survey since there are many complaints about these tires as far as tread wear.
