My wife and I are gonna make a weekend of this, so we'll be spending the night Saturday. Is the area around Sickies Garage pretty nice?

My wife and I are gonna make a weekend of this, so we'll be spending the night Saturday. Is the area around Sickies Garage pretty nice?

It's a nice safe area with several other eating places nearby. I don't live in that side of DFW, so I'm not sure if there's much for visitors to see, but it's a straight shot down 35W to get to The Stockyards or downtown Fort Worth.

Far out. Yeah, that area is fine, as in, your truck will probably be there in the hotel parking lot in the morning.

Like Jay said there is stuff to do; I would definitely head down 35W and see the sights in downtown Fort Worth, maybe have dinner somewhere "not a chain." I don't live in FTW but I have worked there for 15+ years and drive there a few times a week. Let me know if you want ideas. It's awesome that you are making the effort. I hope our low-key hanging around and shooting the breeze about Mav mods doesn't disappoint!

I think we're going to have a good turnout. The DFW Facebook event shows 16 going so far, plus whatever number we get from here.

Trying to work this into my schedule. It would be a long day but I could use a nice road trip.

Won't be able to make it. Currently the Maverick is in the shop for the 3rd time in 6 months for a front camera fault.
