Hello. What is the max hitch weight that a FWD 2.0l can carry? Would it possible for that truck to tow a 12ft cargo trailer weighing 1900 lbs? Thanks for the help

Good post. Most worry about the weight and not the most important part the Brakes.Another BIG thing to consider is can you Stop it. The little truck can technically pull more, not that hard since the weight is rolling on wheels, too much weight can push the truck (probably not the best words/terms to use) but hopefully you get the point. Does the trailer have trailer brakes and 7 pin connector for wiring to the truck. Assuming you have the factory trailer hitch which comes with a 4 pin connector and NO trailer brake controller. Just remember the weight behind you when in traffic, etc.
Please, if you get behind a white Maverick with NY plates, honk and flash. If I see a Maverick, your color with a trailer, I'll gladly pull off to let you by. I'm as nowbird November-April, (can't get wife to retire), so the rest of the year, not a problem. Generally speaking, pulling is seldom the problem, stopping, cooling and chassis strength are primary. Your empty trailer is close to maximum.Good post.
