So i was driving by one of my local dealerships when I spotted what I thought was a Maverick. Indeed it was. AWD Lariat EcoBoost 8 speed auto trans, FX off road equipment group 5a, 400 watt inverter, bed extender, copilot, hood fenders protective film. 32625 MSRP (more later). combined mpg of 25 mg, 22 city and 29 highway. i don't think it was a special order as the dealer had additional mark up. besides a dealer fee of nearly 1300, they also added a market adjustment of 2k. Total price 36,028. got to sit in as it was open and I am about 5'8" which left plenty of space in the back. if the front seat folks are bigger, it might get tighter. i took a pick next to my current vehicle honda crv (I have ordered a Maverick and waiting to find out which day of the 365 days next year, will I get it). there was one item in the bed that did not make sense to me and I took a pic (several) of it. located on both sides in the ends. i don't think it had to do with the extender but might be wrong. FYI I was not a fan of the color choice in the lariat but that could be because I have been prepping my self for the orange of the xlt.

I find it odd that it’s a Lariat but the sticker says it an XL.
In a hurry to get the dealer fee and the market adjustment added before printing and/or just didn't care.

Or it is really an XL and they just tacked on the Lariat emblems and Logos to make more on their "Market Adjusted" price. :ROFLMAO:

Local dealer here in OKC says they are marking the adjusteed up 3K above sticker. Since I ordered mine early on, I will be getting Lariat First Edition for the sticker price of $35, 955.

I have been periodically viewing the Dealer sites nearby to see what they have - and nearly all of them have their descriptions incorrect! Describing a Hybrid FWD - then IF they have the Sticker available to view - it clearly indicates the 2.0 EB engine... what a joke! These dealerships have NO CLUE what they are selling!

Ain't no XL with a $32K sticker.
For kicks and giggles, I checked to see what an XL would cost with EVERY option that Ford's build tool would allow (including things like the Yakima tent, and everything compatible). Came to $40,581

It is definitely a Lariat, not an XL, but at $36,000 I would also have to consider a Ranger in that price range and weigh the pros and cons!!!

This truck is missing 4k tow and lariat luxury packages. I am thankful that my truck is costing me 3% below INVOICE. :)

Did they charge you a tire fee, battery fee, bunch other fees? Murry Ford in Starke told me the had certain fee state of Florida charges? I didn’t know if it was true or not. They had a $899 dealer fee added on with other junk fees made my $35,000 fee up to $42,000. I told them I had to be under $39,000. So now they’re trying to take some additional add on off truck like cover for the bed. Emergency kit, lugs kit for tires. Etc.

this is not my vehicle, did not buy. i just saw it on the lot and went to size it up and take some pictures. the dealership I bought mine from did charge me a dealer fee of around 500 bucks. considering what others were quoting me in the area, it was "reasonable" if you get what I am saying. i also bought in Florida, but I got mine from Arcadia. Well lets say I ordered, waiting like all the other hybrid future owners

I spoke a salesman at Beau Townsend Ford in Dayton, OH today about Maverick Lariat that was showing in Transit on their website, out of curiosity I asked him about if it was available (my brother has been looking for one). The salesman very rudely told me that he wasn't sure but even if it was available, that there would be a $8,000 MARKET ADJUSTMENT. He then tried to explain to me about supply and demand (like I was an idiot) and how if they didn't have this adjustment they couldn't put food on their families tables. I said "Sir, I get it, but ripping people off isn't going to help your business long term. You lost me as a customer." I've bought my previous Ford's from that dealership, but I'm so glad I went through another dealership for my Maverick Lariat order. But seriously an additional $8k, just because they can?? If anyone should be getting the extra mark up money it's the people building the trucks not the salesmen.
