What should I check for at delivery from dealership?

I do not know which part I need to check prior to confirming handover my new maverick from a dealership.

Any suggestions?

Take a test/acceptance test drive before you sign, try to find a brick or bumpy road to check for rattles. Remember you are not paying for a Lincoln, so don’t expect it to ride like one. Lots of plastic in the interior & sometimes it can get noisy over a bumpy road.
Lots of good info on this forum. Look around & search on any concerns. You will very likely find it‘s covered.

Any dents, scratches, inside and out. Seat fabric mishaps.
I ordered XL , so.. basic seat fabric .. I think there is no mishaps for seat lol

The dealer wants to receive payment by August 27, but I will visit the dealer on August 28.
I worry if I found any issues with the new truck status. Maybe the wire transfer payment makes trouble?

Don’t pay a dime till you’re 100% satisfied. Take a test drive, go on the freeway too if possible. Check ac, heater, radio and any other items you can. Don’t be pressured! Do a complete walk around with your phone and video it.
Bring your car person if you want too. Also washing it is a great way to find any nicks or scratches, do it in the first week. Anything you find will be in the video you took. Lots of other ideas too, these are a start😎

If your dealer is insisting you pay for it before you see/check it out. -- RUN!!! There are Mavericks on lots now.

You'd be surprised.

Best to start a checklist from top to bottom, side to side and everything in between. Stuff happens during transport and you might not notice it until later, which means another trip and lost time. I've had two bumpers on different vehicles that needed realigned (my Tacoma was REALLY bad) and even a front fender replaced entirely because of some paint damage. But we've seen mismatched door panels and weird seat stitching... just all kinds of weird stuff that gets overlooked from time to time.

It might only be an XL, but you are still paying a hefty chunk of money to receive something damaged. Maybe it's a fleet or whatever, and some stuff doesn't matter - that's up to you. Just go in with a checklist and do a thorough inspection either way as it can only help you. If there is something, maybe they will be willing to make a discount and then you drive off saving $500 for a little scratch ;)

I meant to look for any tears or fraying of the fabric

Decades ago I bought a almost new Renault Encore. I was young and my second car so don't judge. I didn't do an inspection. Back then a used car came with a 30 day warranty. Very rarely did I approach my car from the front. It was just past my warranty period, let's say 32 days, when I noticed, for the first time, my grill was warped. I couldn't understand why I never saw it before, but I didn't. I went back to the dealer to have them fix it, to no avail. I never repaired it, but it bothered me that I didn't catch it earlier. The car was a terrific car with the best lawn mower engine. I took many cross country trips with it. Rocky mountains to sea world to grand canyon etc. Manual transmission too. I had to add cruise, rear window defogger as well.

All that to simply say, check everything, even something you wouldn't think would need a look. I know the truck is new but I bought that car with 50 miles on it. I think it was a demo.

Open the glove compartment, open, close windows, listen for weird sounds. Jiggle knobs. If you have to, ask the dealer to give you some space so you can check things out without prying eyes. Take your time, don't be rushed.

If there's dealer advertising on the truck anywhere and if you do not want it on there, ask them to remove it before you sign anything. They will usually do that with no problem. I always ask them to not put any advertising on the truck when I place the order. Then I remind the salesperson again when I arrive. Lastly, I make sure there are no stickers decals or license plate holders with their advertising on it.

You're paying for the truck and they're not paying you to advertise on it.
