You only need one.how many wrecked one are out there???![]()
In forscan, I briefly tinkered as well and found a few mentions of park aid in the IPC section but each thing I tried did not work so I reversed it back to the way it was. I read somewhere that the parking aid goes through another module. A something. Like ACM or something like that. I'll have to research again and see.Welp, impulsively bought one at 3am, I’ll try and post an update when it’s in. Thanks for the great write up op. I’ll tinker with the IPC module, you’d think that there’d be an option or line of code that enables/disables the parking sensor check?
Fantastic, and they included the clear cover. Did you get a good deal?Well, it’s here! If I get a chance tomorrow, I’ll try and toss it in.
Side note, the guys at WeberBrothersAuto.com are awesome, great customer service. They currently have a ‘23 Area 51 Ecoboost that they’re parting out if y’all need anything.

Yup, I was glad to see that. About $190 shipped. Not too bad. For the amount of time it took to get it in, I think it was worth the upgrade. Install went smooth. Pics incoming.Fantastic, and they included the clear cover. Did you get a good deal?
Nice job!! I'm jealous you so easily removed the park aid error. I tried each park aid mention in the IPC module one by one, which might have been my mistake. Maybe I should just disable them all? I'm glad you got the mileage figured out. And when I pulled the hood off I was completely perplexed until I figured out the bottom thing too.Got it in today. Here’s a before and after:
Install took about 1.5 hrs, including running around getting the laptop, charger, and 7mm. Excellent work on the write up above Justin, I used as a reference through out the disassemble. It took me a minute to figure out that the bottom of the hood actually comes off, see pics for more details. It lifts straight upwards off the bottom edge of the larger trim piece.
As for all of the nanny errors that pop up, I just scrolled through the IPC module and found them by name and disabled all of them, as well as the other menu options that were greyed out. After disabling, writing and restarting, the errors and greyed out options were gone.
For the money spent on it, this mod is right on my reward per dollar limit lol, but the animations and upgrade in graphics is pretty sweet.
I do agree with Steve though, the simple dash does seem to fit the character of the truck better, and the analog temp and fuel gauges are something I wish the Lariat cluster still had on the bottom corners.
When updating the odometer, my version of Forscan (2.3.49) gave me a “service procedure interrupted“ error. After some research, I updated to 2.3.62, which did the trick. I had to downgrade it earlier due to not all of the modules showing up, but after upgrading from an older version it works fine.
One last detail, it did feel bad to change the odo from 3k to 33k haha.

Did your old cluster remove pretty easily? I saw the corners both stuck into the dash and was like WTF they built the damn truck around this thing! Maybe on Sunday I'll play with Forscan some more and add the off-road gauges like you did.
Awesome job!
I finally got my off road screen enabled and I did manage to get rid of the park aid error. Thanks!
And yes, I just went through and disabled all of the items that mentioned the parking aid, and did the same for all of the other items.
I'm pretty sure they did mount the cluster before the other trim pieces, because getting out the old one did certainly take some effort. Particularly that plastic tab/notch on the right side, that catchs on the gap fill panel. The new cluster didn't have that clear plastic tab on the side so getting it in was painless.
