All it took was a deer to total my Colorado and an insurance payout, but I got the Maverick I've been wanting for years. Never thought I would get a lariat, but there was a used one at a great deal nearby with in the color and with the build I wanted.

The B&O sound system doesn't get as loud as I might like, but the sound quality is great, a much needed upgrade from the stock speakers. Love it so far.

On the plus side, think of all the recalls you missed!

I'm getting two recalls done in my driveway Friday. I swore I'd never let Ford flash my vehicle, but the dealer called to say "we'll send mobile service and do it for free", and in a moment of weakness I said yes. Now I have my fingers crossed they don't electronically trash my truck.

Edit: They didn't trash the truck. Only now (Feb 2025) I'm waiting on two more recalls.

Everyone was fine, thank you for asking! I still think I would change what happened if i could, BUT this is quite the happy ending regardless.
