Red warning sign saying Slow down safety and loss power.

This is my first time posting so forgive me for any mistakes. So I an in Las Vegas, I have a 2023 ford Maverick XLT trim. Build the truck from the factory. We ordered a 2022 but they gave us the 2023. I have had that truck for a year. It doesnt even have 14000 yet. No mods done to the truck. It is stock and nothing altered. Its been a great truck and had really no complaints. It is the Hybrid version. Three weeks ago, my family and i had tp go to Cali on a family emergency, a family member was going to pass away. Which he dod that night. So on the way out from lost vegas everything was fine and the truck while driving had a red warning sign pop up, saying to slow down safely and I start to lose power. I could not accelerate at all. So I pulled over and the check engine light came on. Pulled over turn off the truck, amd then try to restart. Nothing and it was getting hot, i have a 2 year old and 7 month in the car. Then i started again and lucky I was buy the dealer I got it from and I drove there. They kept the truck and I got a rental car but not from ford even tho I have extended warranty that covers my rental car for 10 days. But since I was going out of state it wasnt going to cover. But they got me a shuttle to take me my family to get a rental car at enterprise. We ended up starying one night in LA and came back to LV. They told me multiple things came up on the code. When I finally went to get it, they told me they cleared the code but couldnt create the problem. So the big issue I have is I can no longer trust this truck. What if I get stuck in the hot summer with my little ones. With no fucking power? So I plan to sell this truck. I havent drove other than driving it home from the dealer. Theu said if it happens again, bring back to them? What kind of answer is that? You guys couldnt figure it out the first time. What makes you think your going to figure it the second time.
This truck is basically brand new... WTF?
They couldnt even tell me about the warning. They have never heard of that. But the warning is cleary put it there by ford.
Anyone heard of this before ??

Many threads on this very same issue. Very sorry that you had this happen during the hot weather. I too worry about that same issue as many others do also. From what I have read here, most of that same failure to keep running happens sometime after a recall has been performed. Others may have better advice, as I too are concerned about the reliability of the truck.

I had three recalls done already this year i believe. Two of them were this year maybe late last year was one of them. I just remembered saying , damn thats alot of recalls in a short span. But thank you for the insight.

IIRC recalls done between Feb and Mar of this year are the problematic ones. The dealer should know this as these symptoms are the very ones they all have. There is a recall to the recall so to speak.

My dealer didnt know shit. Here the funny thing. Back about 6 years ago when I first moved to vegas. My friend who also moved, we went to drive up to this hill. He had a 2013 ford raptor. We got stuck and the rator couldnt go into 4 wheel drive. We eventually got of this thing. I told him he should have that checked out. He said he try using 4 wheel drive once before when he forst got that truck brand new and it did the same thing.
It wouldnt engage. I said maybe you did it wrong. Looked up youtube and we did that and nope. So that same dealer checked it out and said they couldnt figure it out.

Hope this helps. I mean I selling the truck regardless. I can not have that happen. I get shit happens but not to a new car. As you can see it says the miles on the paper says 13446 miles. Three recalls happen and I did them all as required. Man i did the recalls liow with in the same month I got the notices. When it comes to my vehicles i am on top of shit. I have a 2001 pathfinder with 125000. I had to drive it from cali to Vegas and back to california. I have every confidence in that thing which looks like shit with no issues. I had a jeep 2008 commader which is still in my family my in laws have it for a spare car. I had like 150000 and had only one recall on that thing. Now granted that thing did stop on me once when my two year old was 2 month old. It had to do something with the sensors in the transmission. For that reason my wife and I had a rule that we would never drive to Cali when it was hot. But this time we had no choice because of the death in the family that was going to and did happen that night.
