2023 Hybrid Noise

Got in my truck, turned the AC on as normal. Everything was fine then all of a sudden I started getting this noise coming from the front. I cut the AC off and turned the car off multiple times and nothing changed. Drove back home. Constant noise still. Brake pads are in well order with plenty of meat. I cannot understand why it’s is making this noise and haven’t had a problem since I drove it off the lot.

That does not sound good! I'd say a trip to a Ford dealership is in order. Any vibration while accelerating by any chance? If so it could be the common problem of failed CV axles.

I’m going to try and get there tomorrow. Also no knocking or vibrating when turning or going straight, just this constant grinding sound.

Does it get louder as you go faster? If so it could be a bad wheel bearing.

I didn’t notice it get louder as I accelerated because I was so close to home.

If you can jack up one side or the other and get it into neutral, with the electronic brake you can give the wheels a spin to see if you hear some noise off of it.

Check for a rock stuck between the rotor and dust shield.

Called my local dealer and they said that they are booked until next week. I explained what my situation was and sent them a video and they said they could get me in on Friday but have no courtesy vehicles available. I opted for the pickup vehicle service they have for the codes and told them if anything I’ll call if I find out what’s making that noise. I hope that everything that will be done is under warranty because I opted for extended warranty when I bought it in Nov 2023. Will be back with updates after trying the suggestions given.

You said you turned off the A/C but did you turn the fans completely off to rule out fan noise? I had an Toyota Camry a long time ago that made bad noise for two reasons, the fans were wearing out and the blend door was stuck.
