23 Tremor XLT, 26.5 avg over 15 k miles. City and highway almost the same as highway is 75 mph and mountains. I haul 3 trials motorcycles with lots of gear and 4 people. One tank was 13.7 mpg over 150 miles into a 50mph head wind. I have had zero problems with this truck. Would buy the same truck again.
Us too just with a few more creature comforts in the lariat edition. We drove a bronco sport while we were getting the software updated and much prefer the Maverick.

If folks are going to agonize over 2 or 3 MPG then we all need to agree that when quoting MPG that we are talking about calculated at the pump, not using the vehicle's guess you see on the screen.

Unless you have dialed in the MPG setting in Engineering Test Mode it could easily be 2 MPG off. I know mine was.

It makes me a little crazy to read this entire thread and not one person quoting MPG stated that it was calculated. But that's just me.

I'm lucky to get 20mpg, but i am always hauling loads, offroad every day, short trips with lots of tight turns, and go uphill 500-800ft in both directions. I also tow atleast twice a month and idle a little bit. We also have only 4 miles of highway type driving and we dont regularly go on that road.

That being said when we bought it and roadtripped it on the mainland and if I reset the calculator on a smooth bit of road. Our Tremor is capable of 30mpg easily. But alas it dont happen that way with our driving. If we cut out or road alone that would probably jump our average to 23 or so.

Generally I have newer vehicles to be around the stickered mpg with obvious exceptions with our middle of the road no heavy loads driving style. However you make a good point that the sticker might be averaging loads, towing and awd usage.

If you care about mpg, you get a hybrid.
If you care about costs, you don't get a lariat.

If you want a lariat temor, you get one. Not because of it being high mpg and low price, though.

This is the CORRECT answer

If you care about costs, you don't get a lariat.

If you want a lariat temor, you get one. Not because of it being high mpg and low price, though.

So here is the dilemma..

We are contemplating selling our tremor XLT awd to carmax this month and reordering a tremor lariat to get some features my bf wants.
It drives great. We don’t care what the eep owner social media posts say about off-roadThe most off-road we had is the church parking lot before it was paved so can’t see what that matters to us anyway lol

The issue is that it has had zero issues and gets 27 plus overall mpg even with mountain driving.
We don’t want to get a surprise with new one.
What mpg are other owners getting overall?
I have a 24 XLT Tremor and get 20.2 on the screen at 2,000 and 7 months of driving. If you are getting 27 (even if not calculated) you are better than expected. My driving is mostly non-highway and it is a fun vehicle to drive fast, so what are you going to do.

I agree some of the Lariat features are nice, but I preferred the cloth seats of the XLT for comfort more than I liked those features ultimately (and the price). If you can swing it and don't mind the ActiveX seating go for it. Better get it ordered soon though it sounds like from what @fordvideoguy said in his video Tuesday night...order banks could close soonish.

With my 245/65R17's I get around 24 winter, 28 summer. That's on 91 and an occasional no ethanol fill up once every quarter or so. Also, in Montana mountains, but most my trips are fairly short. Last year I drove less than 6k miles in the Maverick.

The people who shared their actual tremor mileage have helped with decision making.

We would likely care if the average tremor mpg people were getting was much less than the truck we are currently driving and we traded it (an xlt tremor) for a lariat tremor that got the rated mpg.

We were expecting the tremor with its geometry and the tires it came with to actually get the rated mpg—which would have been much less than we are actually getting.

We have reasons for not getting a hybrid that

we are getting 27 plus calculated using math… thanks for the information!
