It is good but I think 5 foot would be perfect. I have had a bunch of stuff including my favorite ladder that was a inch or so to large to have with the tailgate closed..

Good eye and close 8.8.

The diff cover looked off probably because of the angle and the 4 lug had me guessing the 7.5 unit. Otherwise I would have guessed the 8.8, not a lot of 4 lug housings with a triangulated control arm setup in the axle world. Had to be a 🦊.

Can’t wait to get it cleaned up and in, and I’ll move on to motor and tranny.

Nice. One day I might have a hot car again. The Maverick in my avatar had a real nice AFR headed 86 306ci block.

The bed is the perfect size for 99% of my needs. But I did come across that other 1% when I trimmed my tree last week. A deeper and longer bed would have been nice to hold more tree trimmings.
Everything is a compromise.

I mean, the bed size is "OK" but far from perfect. I would have preferred a full size bed...

Depends what your using it for , for my needs I can’t complain a bit , but if your in a construction job this may not be your truck. I tell everyone that asks I get 30 plus miles to the gallon, it’s fun to drive and I have a bed . I cant ask for more.

Oh I’d love some afr heads , maybe down the road . They are so expensive unless you find used ones, they still aren’t cheap. I’m just doing a basic rebuild on a 302 for now, the car is a 4 cylinder and converting to a v8.

1989-1992 Mustangs were cool, fast and great looking.

Lol. Soon as I saw the diff I said that's a foxbody. Just finishing up mine for the new England mustang mania show. My 80s ecoboost. The maverick looks like a super duty next to it. 😎

OP - noticed you don’t have a tailgate cover; maybe check out Ford Accessories and use your points? I did and it fits perfectly!
Not a fan of that site for much but this worked out well 👍

Folks, do you realize one can set up the tailgate to hold longer items while hauling. It entails moving the tailgate hanger cables to a secondary position. This positions the tailgate top with the fender height. I am sure there is a weight limit, but they said it can hold several 4'x8' sheets of plywood.
BTW. I bought mine just to have; in case, and if I could fit it in my garage with my Spyder RT, I would have opted for the Honda Ridgeline. I have to admit, though I have had it only four weeks, I really like it.
God bless you all!
