Personalization of my blue Maverick: I want a red, white, and blue theme. I put decals on the hood And back tailgate in white, sprayed the stock rims red, and then bought from Amazon. Plastic wheel covers that I sprayed white for the red, white, and blue look I was going for. Also, look, two back compartments in the bed were empty, so I installed two 12-volt plugs from Amazon list for $50, as well as a cup holder for the back compartments for the Center console and a divider for the glove compartment. I also purchased an inexpensive bedliner for the bottom of the bed and then rattle canned with bed liner for the sides and tailgate,
All are inexpensive and available through Amazon from either China or Japan.

It's a very basic hybrid, And when I first bought it, I drove conservatively, maximizing the regenerative braking, and the best I could get was 39 mi per gallon. Then I tried ignoring anything conservative and drove it aggressively for a couple of weeks, and I was getting 36 m to the gallon. The moral story is it gets excellent gas mileage, but driving it very conservatively doesn't pay you back much.

Thanks for your service! The previous owner of mine added the same letter decals, so I leaned a little more into it with a cheap hitch cover. I normally like black accents, but I still love my country, so sticking with this for a while and watching out for flying eggs over in the Soviet Union of Madison, WI...

I agree that it's more environmental. Driving style doesn't improve mileage like you think it would. The software program compensates either way. Slow roads do improve mileage, so choosing direct routes could help. Driving in traffic sucks, so I make sure my mpg isn't too good.

I like the basic theme and keeping it stock (not changing wheels/tires), yet personalized. XL is the perfect trim for that. It's the fleet and custom trim. I'm also planning to run the stock wheels and tires for as long as they last.

Thank you for your service, brother from another mother!! I was in the Army from 1981-1993 as an Armor Crewman on the M60A1, M60A3, and became a Tank Commander on the M1A1 tanks. I was a Staff Sergeant and was medically discharged for feet, lumbar, and cervical spine injuries, all of which I've had multiple surgeries on. I'm rated 100% P&T by the VA.
I have a HPR Lariat and have put a subdued black star on my hood but am going to remove it and put a white one on it instead. Because mine is HPR, doing a red, white, and blue theme would clash, so I'm pretty limited to what I can do. I did put the raised tailgate lettering in a chrome color.
I like what you've done to your truck!

I disagree, my wife gets 3-5mpg worse gas mileage than I do in Maverick or our minivan, same routes I drive.

Yes, we have a very similar history and thank you for your comments. I'm also 100% disabled from an army injury when I was a medic. As a medic I usually drove a 113 but I hopped in a tank for some NBC training and I bounced around like a BB in a boxcar 🙂
