Thanks to "Eaglevirtue" I learned of the Home Depot TracOne Universal rack which we bought for our 2024 Hybrid Maverick. It was $50 off for a final price of $300. SUPERB engineering. I think they've fixed some issues, especially with the quality of the threads, as we had no trouble assembling with rechargeable drill and hex bits. Took about 2.5 hours to assemble and install. Quite straightforward. Yes... the mounting leg plates compress and slightly distort the plastic trim of the bed, but it's minor to us. Next we managed to install our LOFT Roof Nest camper from Sylvan Sports onto the rack with a slight modification (replaced the stock 4" mounting plates, with 6" plates to accommodate the width of the rack's crossbars). We bought the camper as a new "dent and scratch" for around $1800. The combination is phenomenal. I hear no wind noise at all while driving and I barely noticed a gas mileage drop on a recent trip with big stretches at 60-65 mph (< 5% drop). Might be more noticeable at 70+ mph. Our camping setup, for a total of around $2100, is far more than we hoped for. Note that other installers cut the uprights of the rack to make it less tall on the truck. For now, I am leaving it at original height. Looks leggy, but gives plenty of room when I'm crouching around in the bed underneath the camper, plus it just accommodates the stock antenna height. Perhaps fuel efficiency will improve if/when I lower it (?) but for now the air flow seems great. I'm grateful to the other pioneers of Maverick accessorizing, for their research and sharing.
