It depends on the features and compromises you’re willing to make. Also keep in mind how many times you plan on buying the cover. I chose to go with a retractable cover. The con is that the canister takes up some bed space. The pros is that the retractable covers are the most durable and flexible. They also give maximum security when locked. I bought mine at Truck2Go paying $1,001 for product, shipping and installation! Here are some pictures.

I got the Hard tri-fold on ebay for $325 and I am super happy with it. The best part is that there are not side rails to deal with. It can be removed in a minute and stored in the garage (like when I haul my motorcycles).
Did your cover come with the shock or did you purchase it separately? Also, what does it connect to for support in the bed?I have the undercover armor tonneau . I personally like it but wife has difficulty using it because of heaviness of multiple sections . not a problem for me .

Here ya go! it was $350 when made an offer of $325. Now it's $326....I would offer less and see what happens. I forgot to mention it has lights in the last panel of the tr-fold. Good Luck!
