All recalls done (engine failure and body control module done this past Friday)

Had the engine light come on Saturday morning while driving and checked when I get home through an OBD reader. “P139A - Manufacturer Control”

Dropped off the vehicle at the dealership and they said the Exhaust Trap Pressure Differential (Part# 5L200) is faulty. They are asking $370 total.

However, the dealership said this does not qualify for any warranty coverage. I’m under the assumption it should be covered through the California Emissions Warranty. I checked the parts list on the Ford website and do not see this part. I talked to a person via their chat who confirmed this should be covered. Called the dealer back and he said once again this won’t be covered and Ford will deny the warranty claim.

Can anyone confirm this information? Any suggestions?

I can't find that part online existing for the hybrid.... Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
All I am able to find is something close but it's for the Ecoboost.

...then again Ford chat confirmed somehow.

Looked on Rock Auto they say Exhaust & Emission > Differential Pressure Sensor is

MOTORCRAFT DPFE34 cost $37 . So unsure if this is what is wrong or not but from what I found the PN 5L200 cost $58 on Ford but says is for 2L Eco Bost. Not saying I understand anything about Ford and their parts but may want to verify. If not covered by warranty and it can shown to be bad should be cheap to fix yourself either part.

Curious about the resolution for this as my CEL came on today, 22 Hybrid at 67k miles. Also checks to be P139A code.

That code seems to be generic to a class - with several potential parts possible.

Got an extended warranty, since you are beyond the 3/36k?
