Maverick Widebody design complete.

Looks mean. I do gotta ask though why not go with actual new fenders and quarters instead of layered on. Thats a nice thing about the Maverick its pretty easy to peel off the skin and do a complete redesign on it. Unless I am reading the pics wrong. All new panels is like the difference between a body kit and a spec race car body.

I've been surprised that nothing has come out yet. With how easy it is to remove all fenders, the Maverick is asking for it.

I wasn't sure where to post this.

Earlier this year I had my truck scanned and the design is complete. A few things need buttoned up like the fuel door. I wanted to share the rendering I received today. (Note the model is slightly off from actual dimensions, so if you notice oddities, that's why)

This kit will be available for sale after we finish on mine. I am hoping for a September completion date.

You have the back end full of monster speakers right?
Actually this kind of work is why I would like to have periodic meets for Maverick owners so they can show off their work.
I actually had a local owner give me the Maverick wave this week!

I do not. My tank setup is in the bed with a Ford accessories divider

I've been surprised that nothing has come out yet. With how easy it is to remove all fenders, the Maverick is asking for it.

To be fair, installation was never the constraint. It'd be easy if they were OE-quality steel panels.

Development, tooling, and product costs skyrocket with that added part complexity. Heck, the ~$5000 fiberglass body kit from 3D Carbon still isn't fully in production because they can't get enough preorders to justify making it.

This concept looks great and I'm looking forward to the final results. I'm glad someone is doing it, but I can't imagine taking on the cost of paying someone else to develop it.

I wanted it bad enough that I am fronting the cost. It is what it is, but will probably be the only time I am able to do it. I really want an RK Sport Hood as well, but nobody is interested in pre orders, so that idea died out quickly.

Thats my thought. Maybe if they produce a million of em before changing the body structure. Then the custom panel industry will justify it.

That’s nice but I would want it a toned down a little. Why not just make it actually fenders and box sides? The rear is bolted on. Why do over fenders when you can just unbolt all four corners just seems bizarre to me.

I'm not a toned down kind of person when it comes to the design ideas in my head. I know that's what some would like. I wanted the drastic edges and stand outs in area, I didn't want it to look like a prerunner. I just didn't want rivets.

Even if nobody buys this, it's what I wanted.

We shall see. My widebody guy called me last week saying that someone he knows wants to use it in a booth if everything works out. Things got pushed out.
