Met a Maverick owner who needed a ride.

I was out Saturday night doing some Uber rides. I get a call to pickup at a bar, and the passenger asked if it was an XLT or Lariat. Told him it's a base XL, and he said he has a Maverick at home that got hail damage Thursday. First passenger I had that owned a Maverick. His wife was going to pick him up, but she wasn't answering so he decided to Uber it home. Went to visit my MIL Sunday, and there was another Maverick in the lot. Parked next to it of course. I see multiple Mavericks every day now.

Yep, starting to see them here too in SoCal. Some are work trucks but most are personal vehicles.

I routinely get 50+mpg on trips to town & back.

Even running the a/c, which doesn't seem to affect it at all, on short trips, anyway.

That's a short trip, and easy to do. I have seen over 70MPG on short trips. This was 7.5 hours of driving without shutting it off, including 80 miles of 70-80mph driving. Small trips don't mean a lot over a tank.

Yes, I mentioned short trip. I sometimes get 70+ mpg on similar short trips, too. The 56, above, is more the usual, though.

Most interesting Maverick I saw recently was a safety vehicle for a wide load (mobile home) being towed down the interstate. Wish I had a photo, because it was interesting. The thing was all loaded up with gear to mount the safety lights and signs.

I am seeing lots of them in Central Ma but I was at the dealer the other day and they still did not have any on the lot. Went by another dealer today while I was out and they did not have any on the lot either.
