New recall: tail lights may not light up on 2022-2024 Maverick (5/1/24)

Yep got the email from NTSB early this morning.

I entered my VIN on the NHTSA's website and it said no recalls in effect. Is this just the NHTSA being slow?

I have been checking the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Recalls Database and this recall has not been listed yet, I am not sure if there is a lag for it to be logged officially there? I think the site only keeps track of the number of Canadian builds as some of them only affect small numbers (three of the recalls show less than 10 vehicles affected). This is the first recall my truck has been caught up in. I am going to try and hold out until my vacation at the end of the month as I work split days off 10+ hours shifts and I do not want to waste my time waiting for my truck. This will also give me time to see if there might be a gremlin hidden in the fix.

Is you Maverick throwing any DTCs?? Taillight related DTCs?

I have to get mine done. Haven’t had any issues. Had the last recall done with the tail lights and it caused the LASFIT LED lights to cause hyper flash on the dash. Hopefully this recall clears up the problem the last one caused.

I'm using ver2 of the rear Lasfit LEDs. Same issues.

If you have issues post recall and are using some aftermarket LED bulbs, it's somewhat expected.

Its probably the LEDs causing your problems. Try the factory bulbs and see if the problem persists

I disabled in Forscan. Hey, at least Lasfit tried to make it right.
