Yes. And one plus with the XL trim is that you get half-decent-looking steel wheels for winter. If you want aluminum for summer, just get them aftermarket.
that's the plan.
thanks again!

We live in TN and have some steep descents on I-40 that go on for miles. Our Mav hybrid has been great at keeping the speed constant, unlike our traditional F-150 that likes to run away with itself. You should be pleased with how it works on your mountain passes as well.
good to know! I love TN. lived out on a farm but Lynchburg for a year or so. spent alot of time up in the smokies.
beautiful country for sure...
anyway thanks for the real world experience.

-Defintely the tailgate damper.
-I like Line-X spray in bedliner. I had Line-X in my 22 Mav EB. My 24 hybrid Lariat came with the Ford product and I prefer Line-X. Aftermarket coverage is better than the way Ford does it - Ford doesn't coat the top rail under the rear window nor do they coat the entire tailgate.

Ford charges $495 for the SIBL. For my 22 EB, I showed that to my Line-X dealer, said I would pay cash - and it was a deal at $495 USD.

Since you are in snow country, you may want mud flaps. The area behind the left rear wheel is wide open and accumulates crud.

If you have any coin left, consider: Ford Maverick Matte Black Center Radio Console Frame Trim Cover, $16. While it says "fits 22-23..." it fits '24's. Search eBay, the URL is too long to include. It is stick-on, no removal or tools required. Classes up the interior "bigly."

My 24 hybrid runs a little quieter using 91 octane. For me, the electric sounds of the hybrid system disappeared at about the 2000 mile mark - it was fully broken in.

Granted, I live in a mild coastal climate, but I have not had any issues in 2,200 miles with the hybrid sytem, battery etc.

Let me ask you fine folks a few questions before I join the club with a 24 XL hybrid w/ 360 co.

1. one of my biggest concerns is down hill decent on windy steep winter roads. my work commute goes over a busy steep mountain pass up to 10% grade.
i'll have proper winter tires of course...but coming from a maul car where I can shift down in to 3rd or even 2nd to not ride the breaks and my jeep that is automatic but has pattle shifters to shift down. i am use to down shifting to handle the road

so how to does the hybrid handle this. are we expected to just ride the breaks? I understand regen. breaking but often times you dont want to be breaking around an icy corner etc.

SO is there a way to put the mav. in a slower/lower "gear" so the truck does not run away on you?

2. for those of you have have got spry in bed liners do you like it. really thinking about this...

3. best cover for the back? I am thinking a try fold but not sure it;s worth the 1k IDK

4. is the key pad worth it? that was a add on i was going to get but reading on here where some are having trouble with it.

5. best useful or must have accessories both inside and out.

glad to be part of MTC you guys rock!
I think if you push the "L" button in the middle of the rotary dial while going down hill, that should be all you need to slow you down. Then use your brakes when you need to.

if you want hill descent control. ditch the hybrid. get a fx4. also most of your other question can be answered by searching the forum.

one more thing, its BRAKES, NOT BREAKS.
And it's BRAKING, NOT BREAKING!!

There is a hole on the drivers side rear wheel well that most mudflaps do not cover which allows stuff to get thrown up at the wiring for the taillight. I think only the WeatherTech and the Rokblokz flaps cover the hole.

I have the Rokblokz.

Thanks. They are 18x8.5 with 235/60/18s. Mileage has remained about the same. But I got them at 500 miles so I didn't have much of a baseline. I still have trips in the 50s and most in the 40s or upper 30s depending on how much highway driving I do.

You should be fine on hills. The eco has an "L" switch on the shifter knob that keeps it in lower gears and I assume the hybrid does as well.

Get the spray in bedliner. My dealer does rhinoliner and they did an absolutely perfect job. I would not consider having a pickup without it. My old 1980 toyota pickup's bed was scratched, dinged up and rusty from not having a liner. Never again! Well worth it. The dealer also took ford points and it cut the price in half. Winning!

I have a cheap amazon hard tri fold. I see them at about $400 and both easy to install and are fairly secure - a thief will have to work harder to get into the bed instead of just slitting a soft cover with a knife It's actually a pretty nice cover and it's strong enough that you can set things on it while parked. Well worth it. This one is not the same brand but is identical:

The keypad is worth it to me because you have access to your cab no matter what. I once got stuck in my old explorer because the door blew shut on my in the wind and locked me out with the engine running and my phone inside. Keypad saved my bacon: after a few minutes of panic, I realized all I had to do was punch in the code.

Accessories are really personal. One thing i really like is having a pair of ratcheting cargo bars in the bed to keep things from sliding around. They divide the bed into thirds and I keep my things in those plastic folding top totes to keep water out. Ratcheting cargo straps are also very handy for doing truck things when you don't want your new recliner to bounce out of the bed on the way home.:ROFLMAO:

thanks for the feedback! and links.

I ma leaning towards just having them do the SIBL adding heated seats and maybe even window tinting.
