I wrapped my hood, roof, the little strip that faces upward between the rear glass and the bed, and the tailgate insert. Oh, and also the grille bar between the headlights.

Speed2000 designed and cut the tailgate insert and mailed it to me for application. His work was excellent, and my application of it looks OK from ten feet away. He also designed and cut that front grill element, as well as various PPF elements that I laid down on the grill, bumper, hood and roof. I recommend working with him if this is something you are considering.

I documented some of the steps to remove the antennae and roof rails so as to accomplish the roof wrap here: Headliner, antenna, dome light removal | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions There are a couple of lessons learned in it that may be useful to avoid going down blind alleys, as the documentation available about what is between the ceiling of the cab and the roof rails isn't comprehensive.

I had never wrapped anything previously, so when I looked at different color options, I was really pleased with the sort of two-tone combinations that were possible. Eventually I wrapped it to resemble the paint scheme on my 1967.

Your white basically means you can choose anything, and then change it up after a year or two. Black, blue, fuschia, poisonous green, mystichrome - the world is your oyster. Never drive a boring truck - keep your neighbors guessing!

Dave (Speed2000) provided me with a lot of useful guidance on how to do it, and for the roof and hood, I just bought big rolls of 3M and worked slowly with the aid of my daughter and neighbor to hold it in place along the way.

Also, Dave had three or so interesting ways to do the tailgate. As you can see, I ultimately chose the look that reminded me of the grey rear inset of the '65-'69 Corvairs. A black wrapped roof would not be common in da South. Most people here would use white.

Around here, all new school bus roofs are painted (or wrapped) white. Also, dark tint windows all around and A/C.

I plan on wrapping my hood and roof with VVivid Vinyl. No pics yet cuz no truck

The two trucks in the above posts looks awesome, and shows how vinyl can really make a vehicle pop and look so original
