Finally got my license plates and used these (affiliate links below) to install them without having to drill the front bumper

License plate holder $10.99
https://amzn.to/49oMbCM

Alternative that brings screws and hardware $12.99
https://amzn.to/3IqpbHB

License plate frame + screws $5.99
https://amzn.to/4bHvYdv

Zip ties

I used 4 zip ties, and the plate holder design really allows to put them really tight. I have no movement in any direction, but you can add more at different angles to hold it in place

Idiots already did it when I got my truck. I plugged the holes with plastic fasteners and lowered the the stock fitting to the grill with zip ties like you did. I like how it looks with the plates lower and the color showing.

Did you leave the 'pigtails' on the cable ties so you can pull them tighter?
I have found that plastic ties get brittle with age and will break, so keep an eye out.

I was on top of my dealer non-stop and reminding them all the time to not put it. Definitely looks better

Yes, I left a little bit that tucks inside the groves where I can use long nose pliers to tight them up if needed. I had automotive heavy duty ones that I’ve used to hold oil pan covers and have never broken, but still used 4 just in case lol

Any concerns about reduced airflow once the plate is put on?? Ford already removed a couple of the active shutters to increase airflow.

I did this on my 2015 Prius. No issues at all. If anything, the ICE warms up faster. Doing this on my Maverick, I expect the same results. It just looks better.

I didn’t get the chance to stop my dealership from adding the front bumper either.
Worst part is I moved six months later to a province that doesn’t require front plates 🤦🏻‍♂️

That’s a different bracket than the link takes you to. I like yours better.

I would have done this too but didn’t want anything blocking the intercooler. Also looking into remove inch some of the active shutters.

I don't really want to block anything but i reeaally dont want to drill the body for sure. Glad my dealer didnt. I thought it was odd when he said that but seeing how it's done yikes no.

I may just keep it in the windshield or something til I find another option

Would you be able to post a picture of how your solution looks? Sounds like an interesting compromise. I was thinking about using the "dimples" on the black plastic part of the bumper for the top of the bracket and zip tying the bottom.
