I think that’s considered abnormal and a bad sign. I’ve heard some dealers don’t know how to properly submit your order. I think most people had gotten their confirmation just a little bit after it was submitted.

Reservation submitted 6/28. Order 7/8. Confirmation 7/12 (I think they had to figure out how to do it ). The system is hit or miss though. I got the confirmation email, never got an initial build schedule email, then have gotten two reschedule emails (I could do without those).

I received email confirmation of my order while I was still in the dealership, about 10 minutes after the order was submitted. The rest of my timeline is shown in my signature.

Ordered Oct 10, received confirmation email Oct 11. Wating to hear next email regarding scheduling, but not holding my breath!

Also I heard from somebody else that you might check with your dealer to be sure they submitted your email (or correct email) to Ford when they submitted your order.
