I hope Tom Cruise approves... Top Gun rear window decal

Couldn't help it - designed this 10" wide vinyl decal for the rear window. As an Air Force brat growing up in the '80s (I know... Top Gun was focused on Navy pilots - don't judge me!) Top Gun was and still is, my go-to movie... and Top Gun Maverick is a close second.

I modified the Top Gun Maverick logo to add my X / Facebook handle. I went through a couple of redesigns; wasn't sure if I should replace "Top Gun" or "Maverick" with my handle.

I’m an 80s Air Force brat too. I definitely sang “Danger Zone” while riding my bike around the base in Germany.

Your design looks fantastic! I did something as well. As soon as I picked it up, I started searching and found an eBay seller with the style I wanted. Just had to ask him to make it in white vinyl instead of black.

I wanted one with a jet in it. Others were nice but THIS was perfect! And I too wanted to get a vanity tag, and go with "N GOOSE", but since my Mustang is now a "Classic" as deemed by the state of Pennsylvania (anything 15 years old, 25 is "Antique"), I wanted to get a classic tag for it so my car is now no longer emissions tested and I don't need a sticker on the windshield. So I can fun it full straight pipes with no cats!

So that tag I had on the car is an "Donate Life" organization plate (I'm a 20 year liver transplant patient, had mine at 27) and that tag means A LOT to me (got it several years after my transplant in 2003, just after I got my Mustang in '06) so it's now on my Maverick (just had to pay the upgrade charge for a class 1 truck) but with this frame I found on Etsy!

It's all fits very well together. One day soon I'll take a pic of my truck with all the little mods I've done to it.

I designed this and had my sister in law cut it on her cricket it should arrive in the mail today and I will put it on in my maverick when it arrives in a couple of weeks. Difference is I had her do the text in red and the plane in white.

Being a career Navy guy here that served on the USS Stennis from 99-03, ain’t no hate or judgement here, I love these designs and stories! Hell I love playing volleyball still to this day, just ain’t diving in the sand for that wild shot (too old haha)

Hey Dan, for future reference, Navy flyers are AVIATORS, not pilots. (They get pissed off.) I am an old man, but I don't see any similarity to TOP GUN and this little truck. I am reminded of the "cute" front ends you could get put on your Volkswagen bug. My favorite was the Rolls Royce front end.
