I was curious what is the Longest Distance Driven and or Fastest Speed attended from 0 in all Electric.
I did not pay attention to the distance I achieved, but I was able to go from 0 to 40mph in all electric and was able to maintain it a good distance till I got to a hill.

Also, temps finally out from sub zero in Indiana and my Mav is back to 600+ miles to a tank :)

No real scientific data here from me, to much traffic around here to be able to get a run like that for me. I usually will try to let it stay in electric taking off as long as I can, it is just so slow to gain speed after about 20. I'm sure it depending a lot on the flatness of the road etc. If there are people behind me though I go ahead and give it some gas till I get up to the speed limit and then try to kick it into electric.

Driving on the highway I have been surprised to see it kick into electric on a flat stretch going as fast as 70 MPH.

I usually fill up around 1/2 tank but am usually on track for the 600 mile tank. I have been so impressed with the MPG so far. I was hoping to regularly see 32-33, and so far I am around 40+ regularly without much effort

Exactly the same here! I was basing my calculations when making the decision to buy this truck at the 32-35mpg and that calculation alone was a huge saving compared to my Ford Flex. I owed my Flex out right and did not want a payment but my fuel savings nearly pays my truck payment!
I to can have had a lot of highway electric miles at 70+mpg.
I have over 5k miles on it now and I am averaging 46mpg, and one time I got 700 miles on one tank!!

I LOVE THIS TRUCK!

I had a Nissan Rogue that had been paid off over 5 years and needed a catalytic converter and then tires and brakes in a few more months so decided to put that money into something new. I was getting 26-27 in the Rogue. I had been looking at other vehicles new and used but will still stuck on the Maverick in the back of my mind so would keep looking for something I could live with. Glad I found it. The Maverick gets better MPG than others I was looking at and was at least $5K less than other my other choices.

Too many hills to go long distance on my Maverick.

I was in all electric mode in eco mode at 60mph for about 2 miles. I'm surprised I made it that far. Driving in MA the drivers are taught to hang out in the passing lane doing at or below speed limit. Those who want to pass can't pass on the left, so they move over to the right lane and ride my ass where I can't see their headlights. So instead of getting rear ended if I need to stop quickly from those who don't yield coming onto the highway. I speed up so the person behind me can pass the person on the left.

One thing that bugs me about the hybrid. Is I can't accelerate quickly and stay in electric mode.

Anecdote: I have a section of road that I drive on regularly. It is 2 miles long, 35 MPH and is not strictly downhill. I can get through this entire section of road in all electric and use no measurable battery %.

For the sake of discussion, it is realistic to expect 2-3 miles out of a 65-70% HVB battery charge under 50mph. The HVB battery spends a lot of time in this state of charge in cold weather and almost zero time here during warm weather.

One thing that bugs me about the hybrid. Is I can't accelerate quickly and stay in electric mode.
Acceleration is the main purpose of the ICE. This is when it generates heat and charges the HVB. Torque fill + Maintaining speed(low load) + parking lot driving with the ICE off is the purpose of the HVB/Traction motor.

The ICE only gets ~18-30 MPG while running. The reason why we are able to see 45+ MPG is because it spends so much time not running.

What is ICE? I have an XLT so I don’t get to see the dance battery information

Sorry. I get lost in this forum full of acronyms and it does not help with clarity.

ICE = Internal Combustion Engine
HVB = High Voltage Battery

I also have an XLT, this is not your limiting factor here. I have a ScanGuage III that gives me all sorts of information including State of Charge of the HVB.

I'm glad you're enjoying that mpg! That's the main thing that impresses me the most, it's versatility/efficiency/price combo is literally unbeatable for most people. Almost every time I turn the key off, I'll say what the mpg for the trip was and chuckle "in a truck". Makes my wife laugh every single time, it's hard to describe it in writing and make it funny. It's been a running joke since I've had it that "my truck is better on gas than your hatchback" 🤣

Edit- after 6k miles, the mpg reader became extremely accurate, it used to always read 2mpg higher than what I'd measure at the pump.

I have not heard of ScanGuage. I googled it, is that something you leave plugged in all the time? If so where do you have it mounted?

Yes it is always plugged into the OBDII port. I have it mounted on the flat section on top of the dash above the "cubby" by the infotainment screen.

ScanGauge III - This is what I have currently.

ScanGauge II - I have had this since ~2013 on 4 different vehicles. Still have it and use it to read codes occasionally. Difficult to program though.

All of this information is (obviously) not necessary to operate the truck. These days I have 5 things listed on the screen at any given time:
1. Hybrid Battery State of Charge
2. Engine RPM
3. Hybrid Battery Amps
4. Coolant Temperature
5. Hybrid Battery Temperature

That’s really cool! I had no idea. It would be nice to see that information. Might have to be a birthday present to myself.

Flat lander in FL.. for fun I tried to stretch the miles in electric.. going maybe 45mpg I could get a full mile holding consistent speed before either I had to slow down to stay in electric, or the ICE kicked in.. from there, and still maintaining approx 45mph, it would be about 0.4mi before the EV coach indicated charge building (the blue rectangle appearing), and about 0.7 mi before the blue rectangle grew to... What seemed to be the most charge it would hold.. so i'd try to keep 1.0mi on electric, 0.7mi charging, back to 1 mi electric etc. Eventually I found better things to do with my time lol

3.3 miles all electric on flat ground. 0 to 25-27 mph and maintained that. Just to see what I could do.

You can be in all electric up to 80 mph.
Getting zero to 80 would not be possible unless you are on a decent downgrade. But then, it's possible.

Engine comes on at 80 even if you are going downhill. Keeps the RPM's in check.

At 60 I try to keep the "electric" blue bar almost full, but it bleeds off speed fairly quickly.

In my opinion, it should be able to maintain constant speed in electric with a 1-3% incline. Of course as long the battery charge can maintain that.
