How long to get my Maverick?

I have a build date and a VIN number. On average, how long from build date week is it before it is delivered to my dealer to take ownership of?

Any ideas are helpful! I have been waiting for almost two years!!!

These days it is hard to guess. When I had an early Sept 23 build date I was surprised it came in at the dealer about 1 month later. But then I didn't have to deal with software going wonky and trains not delivering and trucker strikes either. So many things can go awry nowadays you are best setting your sights on a two-month time frame. That is where I think we are now.

Mine had a 11/26 build date. Built 12/23, Shipped 12/26, scheduled to arrive 2/8-2/17

You'll find that many orders go smooth and quick, maybe 4-5 weeks from in production to delivered. Other, not so much !!!

Mine is built, but has been stuck in shipping for almost 2 months. Seems to be on the train, site seeing around the country.

Hang in there. The good thing is, you have dates, many are still getting the dreaded 45 day emails.

This is not helpful, but this decade makes you look back with longing on the days when you'd drive down to a dealer lot on a Sunday afternoon, pick out the one for you while there were no salespeople around. Come back Monday, haggle a bit, and drive it home. Sigh...

I mean, it's cool to order exactly the vehicle you (think you) want, because hopefully you ordered well and you actually get the perfect car. On the other hand there was something wonderful about walking down a line of cars and one just jumps out at you and "I gotta have THAT one" happens.

How do you know that information? Is there a way to track the truck using VIN?

I ordered mine in September of 2022. It's been 15+ months and still no word from the dealer. I contact them every month!

Replying to Purduetodd.
The dealer has "vinview" ( dealer use only ). There are other posts discussing vinview. Once you have a vin, they can track where the truck is. My dealer told me my truck was 90 miles away in Chicago around Thanksgiving, still on a railcar. Vinview then showed it was on the east coast. It's back in Chicago now. Hopefully unloaded and waiting truck transport.

Based on the subject line, mine took about 12 hours. I found it on the ford website, called the dealer the next day to make sure it was not sold, and then drove 100 miles to purchase it. They delivered it the next day after prepping it, no charge.

My build week date was 10/23/23, picked it up from dealer on 11/17/23. Just under 4 weeks.
