Mav arrived at my dealership

Found out my Mav was unloaded at the dealership this morning. Due to service staffing and many new vehicles that were recently delivered including 6 other Mav's, they're saying Wednesday Jan 10th it will be ready for pickup. Dang that sounds crazy to me, isn't it pretty much an inspection and topping off fluids?

That's pretty strange. Maybe they have some illnesses but I would hope that isn't normal due to their staffing levels. I would also go in to make sure it's there, if you haven't already.

Is this a small town dealership? I used a fairly small Ford dealership twice and it never took longer than the second business day after it arrived.

It is a small town about 60 miles away for me. My salesman has had good communication with me throughout the process so I’m not really all that concerned, just thought it would be a simple process to work through even if you had a rush of vehicles come in.

The tracker showed my truck delivered to the dealer on Thursday 1/4/2024. I texted the sales manager and asked him how long to complete the dealer prep?
Three hours later my salesman called me and told me the truck would be ready in two hours. I brought home Thursday night.

I have prepped new cars back in the 90's. The seats are covered in plastic the license plate holders are not installed plus a few other things. About 45 minute job to get ready . Plus you must check seat belts and all fluid plus test drive vehicle .At least that was supposed to be done at Chevy dealer i worked at. PLUS wash car too which was another guy who did that. So maybe a total of an hour and a half or so. The dealer had a separate part of service to prep cars which I was not part of but mechanics when slow did it sometimes too like me. I did maybe a few dozen over the years. So not many.
