This is not a random cable. It is for you when you want to use the connectors in your bed to do any DIY additions to your truck. It is normal and comes with every Maverick.

Thanks. You think the dealer would have mentioned it. 😄

It was supposed to be in your glovebox, according to Ford. When you pull the small covers off the inner rear fender you'll find the mating plug there and ready for your DIY creations.

Or there would have been fifty previous posts here about the same exact thing 😂 Welcome to the club, maybe familiarize yourself with the search function to prevent any future panic attacks..

It definately should have been installed. 😳 That's the power lead for the CHCC valve (Cylinder Head Critical Cooling). It's for the signal to open the valve and allow coolant to circulate thru the head.

As long as you haven't driven the truck, you should be good. You haven't driven it yet, have you?

Whatever you do, don't drive it until it's hooked up.

Eh I've been on this forum since it started, didn't register till I got my Mav shortly after you posted this, of course I don't expect anyone to drag a post from two years ago back from the dead but even two years ago there were plenty of posts about the wires. Thanks for showing me your personal character with the name calling. You must be a joy to be around

You joined April 29, 2022. Me June 17, 2021. Not that it matters but your entire statement is wrong. But, presume whatever you wish.

Like I said, I lurked here since the forum was started. Even I knew what the wires were for early on and I didn't even get my Maverick until 2022
