I hesitate to ask this as it could open up a can of worm.
How does an entity manage who can add (or disable adding) a vehicle to the FordPass app?
Where I work they received 15-20 new Mavericks a few months ago ('23 rollovers) and as an experiment I had one of the guys download and register the VIN. It worked like it was his personal vehicle. He could now unlock, lock, remote start etc the vehicle that doesn't belong to him.
What's to keep someone from walking up to Maverick and inputting the VIN of an unregistered vehicle and 'claiming' it?
This could create all kinds of mayhem.
I suppose blocking the VIN (which is really hard in the Maverick) in the windshield or disabling the cellular could work but an employee would be able to overide these methods still as far I know.
Any thoughts or ideas?
