Have you Installed a after Market power Inverter ??

I have everything in front of me 2K watt Inverter Thick welding wire Ready to cut and Lug Breaker. My Question does anyone have photo of how they hooked their inverter to the battery under the seat. If you do please post a photo. I ask because I do not want to reinvent the wheel. Currant Plan is to have it placed under the back seat not on the back wall. Then run wire to the bed. to a 110 outlet. Just asking for any photos. I was told for the inverter install It had to be a ASE cert Tech. I hat ethat (Seems Unnecessary )

The battery under the back seat will power a 2k inverter for only a few minutes as it's only 45AH. Maybe only 10-11 useable for inverter. The dcdc converter can provide the amperage but a certified tech would be wise decision to keep from destroying the 12v battery since truck would have to be in ready mode so Ice could cycle.

Thanks for the reply. I know a quite a bit about the inverters mos will shut off when the battery gets below 10 volts. I have no intention of running the inverter wide open for prolonged periods. Strictly for a well pump to fill up a water barrel if I needed it power tools if needed. The 2 K inverter I admit is over kill. But the Price was sweet. Back to my Question Have you installed one? I am hoping some one has.

FYI PER MANUAL do not connect anything to negative post on battery due to that's where BMS is located and damage could occur!!!

@DavidLs, how did you 2K inverter install go? I'm also here in Dallas with a new 2025 Hybrid AWD Lariat and wanting to do the same thing! However, I know very little about EE stuff and worried about doing something wrong and damaging the BMS or Battery itself, etc. I'd love to hear/see your story, install, pics. Better Yet, I'd love to buy your coffee, lunch, or beers and see it live in-person and meet you . . let me know if that would be possible?

The install went well. I did this because power here in the swamp area of Athens goes out so often. And I do Neglect my Generators and when the Bad Happens I need power now. I need power to run tools saws ect in the field. I needed something that would get us by when this occurs. If you haven't bought a inverter yet, Get a PSW one 2k-4K watts. They are about double the cost of a MSW unit. Harbor freight has them. I do Intend to upgrade to one. The MSW 2K Unit I have will run a 1/2Hp Well Pump and Keep the Light& TV going but The Newer Refrigerator and some appliances hate MSW. When we had the storm last week power tanked I was afraid the Pipes would freeze up So the Mav 2K unit was put into play For Lights TV and Well Pump. 3 Days no Issue. I was surprised The Mav Still ran. I was warned about Deep Sleep but it Never happened. BTW My wife thought I was nuts until she had TV & her computer worked and lights. If you are on a budget the 2K one I use is only about 139 Bucks on amazon its a good unit and fits be hind the seat well. If I can Help I will. We are in Athens

If you do it Put two outlets in the Be Not one Plug.

The Well Pump a 1/2 HP Surface pump shallow well @ 65 Feet Stayed working the entire time. I had installed a 110 Plug onto the pump years ago. It was as simple as plugging it in to the bed of the Mav's 110 outlet. The MSW inverter is the gaindel 2000 watt MSW. It does fit behind the rear seat nicely wit a minor bending of a mount. hey It works.
Hi I will say for right now I am happy the the Mav as a rapid hookup for (911 Power)The Three days outage was mainly a combination of Wet Weather & Storms and Down trees. As far as how I made it. I have posted pics of the setup But I credit Club members Wizzard and Timeoutside for the inspiration and heavy lifting on research. I had no Fridge seems like the newer LG and inverter base hate I am when I get my Tax Refund buying a PSW 2K unit from HF.MSW. Coffee pots pull a lot of current. This setup on the Mav made the mad rush to pull a gen unit out and get it in place nil. It is not that hard to do I am 70 and did it on a weekend. Advice if I had known I would have bought the PSW 2k unit and ran two plugs to the bed instead of one. ( Had to use a suicide cable and thats not good.) I also recommend if you do it going getting commercial grade a 10 gauge stranded wire extension cord and cut it up for the runs to the bed outlets. I hope I helped. Good Luck

Well I ratcheted up my insanity. I pulled my 2k MSW inverter an replaced it with a 3k PSW. The uninstall & replacement took about 30 min. Soft start PSW. Initial testing seem to be on the plus side. I am keeping the Breaker on the 200 amp side. So far so good. Post Photos when I get the hard wire 30 amp plug finished. I do not intend to get over 20 amps out.
