I have some concerns with this comment. I'm not trying to "skimp" on anything. Just looking for long lasting. Also, good tires aren't saving you from hitting ice. That's a grey matter issue.

BTW, I ended up with Michelin Defender 2's

Great tires , Looking at those myself, No insult intended, Just my experience over the last 40 years that cheap tires are well usually a regret. Just trying to help

They've been solid through the first 5k. Hoping they last and serve well for the long haul.

On my second set on a large Lexus SUV (3 tons) and got about 70K miles essentially the warranty back when purchased and replaced with another set.
