It's just the nature of the business now days unfortunately. Early year model adopters are essentially beta testers.

That, and it's hard to believe a vehicle 10 years old has "needed nothing but oil changes" lol. Sounds like some fluid services have been neglected lol...

Great review. You are doing what should be done to a truck - using it and driving it. Yes, nearly all vehicles have issues, some minor and some major, but that's what warranties are for. I guess it must be nice that some people spend $30K on a truck, park it in the garage and drive it 3K miles all year. I never have been that lucky, but again, I do not need a vehicle to just look at. I need one to use. I know it is an apple/orange thing, but how do you like the Tremor vs the Hybrid?
Booyah πŸ‘ŠπŸ½ 😁 πŸ‘πŸ½ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Our Tremor is awesome.

If the Tremor was available in 2021 at the lauch for the 2022 model year I would have never had a Hybrid. But that's not what happened. I compared the usability of the FX4 off road package Maverick to the Hybrid Maverick. And the Hybrid won because of gas mileage. When I ordered my 2022, I didn't need to get an XLT to get, my moonroof, 2k tow hitch, center console plug πŸ”Œ, and that saved me money again So I got and XL. I should have added the rear sliding window to the Hybrid, but I did want to pay extra for copilot 360as well.

But and apples 🍎 to apples 🍎, the added height of the Tremor is very much worth it, I'm a longer legged guy so easy in and out. Towing with the Tremor does better because of the actual Transmission. Cruising on the highway at speed the Tremor wins πŸ† again because of the Turbo and Transmission. But commuting for both city and highway driving the Hybrid wins πŸ†, family tripping is kinda 50/50 to be fair. I have not had the opportunity to put the Tremor's in the snow yet. The biggest difference I have seen between the two is the height, wheels and tires for ride and look, seat material [looks and feels awesome πŸ‘ŒπŸ½], as mentioned I spec'ed all my trucks to what I wanted πŸ˜€ from the begining.

My Hybrid XL is awesome too though. Is has held up to a lot with a lot, when the AWD does come out that will be the test. Because if the have a Tremor Hybrid I'll buy another Tremor hands down.

I can't get over the 40,000 miles in one year part. Even when I didn't work from home, that would take me 3 years...

Yea I'm 75 miles from work, about 50 to 60 from family, and bein a desert dweller there isn't anything out here. We rack up our miles. I like getting out there for camping too.

like what? i do nothing too my 15 yr old canyon but annual oil changes.

maybe i'm supposed to do other stuff i dunno. it runs. trying to think, transmission fluid is a whole can of worms, manual recommended change once at 100k miles and thats it. however i missed that and truck is now at 160k miles. some people say it could hurt the truck to change it now so more than likely i never will.

brake fluid? its good, will top up if needed. cooling fluid? i dunno, changed it a few years ago with water pump, gonna guess it lasts indefinitely.

theres a guy at youtube that was at 93k miles, but then again he travels for work. btw his transmission died recently which is pretty concerning. i worry about these cheap trucks and 2023 American woke corporations ability to do anything right tbh. but, who knows tbh. my dad also says todays cars are more reliable than ever and he might be right too. maverick just has a bit of a cheap aspect too

To the OP.You said you owned a tremor also for about 9K miles? If I understood you correctly. if so what MPG did you get with the tremor as I believe those are 2.0 turbos only? Trying to see how much the hybrid saved you in gas compared to 2.0. I also see a big difference in mpg between you and your wife.. Any reason? Heavy foot?

93,000 miles a year is roughly 250 miles per day, assuming he also drives on weekends. That kind of load is extreme on any vehicle that isn't specifically designed for that kind of use.

It's your vehicle, you do you. But fluids are NOT lifetime and certainly not 100k as any manual would suggest.

That guy on YT is an idiot btw. He treats his vehicles like crap, that's why his transmission died.

Vehicles of today are not made any more reliable, they simply figured out a way to make certain parts last longer. Now days they don't offer parts with grease zerks, they tell you fluids will last forever, and they are built to last beyond the warranty - which some still don't. FORD has perfected the art of pump em out and move on quickly. No brand is really reliable and never really was and it's a catch 22 that most will outsource labor for cheaper parts and such then expect vehicles to last the average person to 200k. Most do not.

Well, I can say toyota and honda are also having issues across the board with reliability as well.

Daniel Delivers had an FX4 Maverick with 90,000 in a year. He documented his experience pretty well. I also worry about my trucks longevity, but I have it and need to make it work just like Daniel. I hoping to be at 70K or 80K with no major issues by next year.

Yes I have a long commute 150 a day. And that's 75 one way and 75 back. I don't like driving slow.

The Tremor is a 2.0L Turbo. And it great. Short drives get the worst mpg in the city. But the long stretches it gets great MPG in normal mode.

With my with driving our Hybrid period she gets better in both the city and highway. Kinda of a Nance driver.

I still have our Hybrid XL and a new XLT Tremor.

That's why my 40K is a serious Test. But I still believe my 83.55% at a year is real and fair.

Daniel Deliverz has the 90K miles.

I haven't pressurized my hybrid like him or whistling diesel, but 40K in a year in still extreme for my normal use πŸ˜€πŸ‘ŒπŸ½.

Thanks for stopping by πŸ‘‹

You might want to change your air filter...
