Fold down beds

More years than what I want to remember I had a Nash where the seats could fold level with the back seat and you could use the car as a camper or what ever. Cars were a lot wider then and the bed would be queen size. This option was available for years until Ameriac Motors were bought by Chrysler Corp. It would be a lot easier than putting it up on a rack.

I had a friend with a 56 Hudson Hornet that had the same capabilities. Being teens at the time our intentions were more amorous in nature - but we came up empty handed.

With the front seats folded forward, the rear seat down, and some gear stuffed in the gap, the AMC Eagle, Concord, and Hornet wagons have about 74" of bed space. AMC never gave up on the dream that all 16 year old boys dream.

....

while the cab may not be an option until/if aftermarket builds a better adjusting driver/pass seat but the idea of a foldout chair>bed product mounted in the bed is nice for tailgating/light camping
