Wondering if anybody here on the Forums have painted their calipers and how they managed to do it.
For those who have painted their Maverick's calipers is it REALLY worth doing so?

I have painted some on past vehicles with ceramic/high-heat paint. It's all visual only. If you do it right with prepping, it should last a long time. They also make caliper covers if you want to do minimal work.

So you have experience with painting calipers? That's nice.

Yes. The best way is to remove the caliper completely from the truck, prep/clean and paint them after taping off the piston areas and other essential/mechanical areas. You can also mostly remove it, but leave the lines connected, tape everything off and do those exact same steps. You can also just do the face of it that points outwards, tape everything off with the most minimal removals (just the tire) and paint. It all depends on how lazy you want to get with it. Just make sure to use high temp paint or it wont last and/or will catch on fire.

I have done it on a previous vehicle. Used G2 caliper paint. Prep work and taking your time is key like most things with paint. It was a 3rd vehicle so I had no reason to rush as it mostly (convertible) sat. It was purely cosmetic. I had a base model and the next model up had red calipers so I painted them red.

Thinking about it on the Mav but most likely won't. I am 20 years older and that no longer seems important.
