I bought mine used with 9K miles on it mid December 22. It’s a 22 AWD, lariat, lux, copilot 360, cactus gray. Put 10K miles in last 7 months just running around Arkansas. Been to El Dorado, Fayetteville, Little Rock, Batesville, Mountain View, just to name a few places. Not unusual for my wife and I to jump in the Mav and make 200-300 mile loop just to get out of the house. I am averaging 32mpg. Great little truck. If you know anyone want one, crain ford in Jacksonville has a used 22 with 12K miles they’re asking almost $40K which is $3200 over MSRP. It’s a Lariat, AWD, lux, 360, 1st edition. Looks really sharp in carbonized gray. Almost forgot it’s got 4K tow and full size spare. They have the window sticker posted in their listing so you can check out its goodies. I’m tempted to go snatch it up, but wife says no.

Talked wife into getting another Maverick. Traded our son’s 2019 Explorer on a used 8K mile 23 lariat hybrid carbonized gray. Gave our son the 21 explorer that neither of use liked to drive. Driven the 23 about 4K miles, when wife says she’d like to have one. Found a new 24 lariat hybrid HPR at Crain in Jacksonville $1300 off MSRP. Ended up trading my 22 eco AWD in on it for $8300 difference out the door. So now have two hybrids. Wife took the new one of course.

I’ve traded with them twice and great experiences with them. 1st time I traded this was before Covid it was running late in day and couldn’t get it cleaned up so they said we’ll bring it to you tomorrow. I live 125 miles from Jacksonville Next day they show up with my truck as I’m looking it over I notice it’s got new tires on it. They said we saw it had one mismatched tire so we put new Hanhooks on it. We’re talking new 20” tires on a F150. No charge for delivery. Last trade we couldn’t reach an agreement so I left and came back home. They called next day and offered to trade for even less than I offered and said they'd bring it to me. they brought it to me at no charge, but they forgot to fill it up. About a week later I was in the area I figured what the heck so I stopped by and mention the gas and they ran it over to gas station and filled it up. I didn’t buy my Mav there as they didn’t have one at the time.

I tried to trade my maverick for the one at Crain. Reason is I ran over a big chunk of 18 wheeler tire carcass and did about $1000 damage to under body. My local dealer said at least a month before they could repair damage. I don’t want to wait so thought I see about trading up a little, as mine is not a 1st edition, has no moon roof or 4k. Crain low balled me on trade and wanted $6500 difference. I’ll just keep mine and wait for repairs.

Update:

glad they didn’t trade, now over a year and 20,000 more miles on my 22 Crain trade with me for $8300 difference on a 24 hybrid lariat in hot pepper red. Wife and I love it.

Is your truck just slightly lifted? A 1" leveling kit or such?

I picked the right time to add a tailgate damper to my Mav. Broke my little finger a week ago. So two of my buddies put in on for me, all I had to do was watch.

Just checked with my dealer, now it’s going to be another 2-3 weeks or more before my Mav gets repaired. In mean time they’ve schedule my airbag replacement from recall for the 24th of August been 4 months waiting on that. I’d be really upset but thank goodness it’s been drivable all this wait. Just made a 125 mile loop today to get a Oreo blizzard and to just to get out of the house averaged 40.5mpg. It’s amazing what excuses I can come up with to just take the Mav for a drive.

Unable to splint it as I can’t straighten it, I have dupuytren’s contracture in both hands and little finger was one of the bent fingers and I broke it when I tried to break a fall and it bent it backwards against the bend in the finger. Doctor said only thing to do is tape it up with my ring finger or surgery. I went with the tape route.
