I've seen a scary number of folks comment on other posts that their order number changed when their dealer entered their 23 to 24 "rollover order". Despite the fact that Ford Corporate told dealers that they needed to ensure that the order number and name matched between 23 and 24 for the private offer to work correctly.

NO BUENO FOLKS!

I just asked @fordvideoguy on his Tuesday Livestream, and he confirmed that a change in order number will most likely make your private offer detach from your name/order, and it will be rough to link it back up when it comes time for you to take delivery. If it can be re-matched at all.....

He says not all is lost though! Your dealer can still change/update your order number to match your 23 order number. Even at this point after they submitted it to Ford and you got your order confirmation email. If they have already done the COVP with the "wrong" order number as well, they should re-do that as well to make sure everything is good to go with the private offer.

If your 24 order number is not the same as your 23 order number, HAVE YOUR DEALER FIX IT!

@fordvideoguy and @Sarah Davis , correct me if I am misstating what you said on the stream.

I just got my 23 Maverick from original order 11-3-2021 Dxxx rollover to Exxx
My special offer cert was not in smart vincent when I went to buy first day.
Insisted that salesman work this out before purchase.
He did and Ford came through in 4 days. I had also put in a case number from my end to help support his efforts. save all doras so he can send to Ford as reference documentation. Got the full Discounted amount that Ford offered.
You still have to pay taxes on the raised sticker price then they gave the discount at purchase time. I did not want to wait for a maybe reimbursement 3-4 months !later. That's is not good for anyone.

From their point of view it's a stock unit to sell regardless the end result of your 2023 order. They used your info to get a COVP they couldn't generate otherwise.

I will probably get in trouble for this but it's because I care about people getting their private offer and prioritization and dealers are stubborn. @Ford Motor Company

Thank you Tim and Granger Ford who also provided me with this information to share with my dealer. They kept telling me I was wrong until I provided them with this information. This would have been much easier if I just lived in Kansas or Iowa!

I will probably get in trouble for this but it's because I care about people getting their private offer and prioritization and dealers are stubborn. @Ford Motor Company

I just finished chatting with Ford. Unfortunately my dealer lied and did not fix my order codes to match my 2023 orders. Any suggestions?
Show them that information and ask to talk to a Manager if they refuse. If that doesn't work PM me your name, Dealer, etc and I'll get a hold of Ford Corporate and get them to reach out and educate your dealer.

Chatted with Ford again, I asked for suggestions. Agent said they could give me a case number and forward my concern to the sales manager. I also contacted my sales rep and asked for the sales manager to call me. Lo and behold I got this email a few hours later and Ford chat confirmed it was fixed.

My dealer put in my MY24 rollover order but I never got an email. I texted my salesperson and he provided me a copy of the order but the order number is different. I let my salesman know that they need to change the order number to match. He tried to get it changed but his sales manager told him "as long as the last name is the same you're fine". I told him this was wrong and fired off a direct email including the procedure screenshots but so far they're ignoring it and refusing to change the order number.

I changed trims and don't think they put in my email either so I'm concerned I won't get a priority build plus I'll lose my private offer.

Any advice? My dealer is an hour away and the sales manager only works during the day so going in person isn't going to get me anywhere. Can I contact Ford and have them change the number or at least tie this order to a rollover?

I believe only the dealer can make that change. Ford support can not. If you give me your information including order information for both 23 and 24 order, and dealer information, I will forward it to a contact I have at Ford.
