I was wondering if the Maverick also has the typical lead-acid battery like a regular car. If it does , can you jump it if it dies , and does it need to be replaced every few years.

Yes it has typical lead-acid battery.

As for life the EcoBoost battery probably has the same life as regular gas engines since it is under the hood. On the Hybrid the battery is inside the Cab below the back seat so maybe it will last longer since it won't feel the extremes as much.

Jump Instructions are at the bottom of this post.

It is this model

Both drive trains have a traditional car battery (The Hybrid's is under the rear seat).

You can jump it if it dies.

Yes, it will have to be replaced. Presumably you'll be able to reach the batteries 'death by time' state rather than the 'Death by overuse/misadventure' state that plagues some traditional drive trains.
