I was getting to know my Mav a little better today and noticed I have no mobile apps installed. No Apple CarPlay, no Android Auto…nothing. Do I have to add those myself or take it back to the dealership?

I was using the touch screen and adjusting some of the settings and tapped the apps button and it says no mobile apps installed. No phone hooked upYou mean you plug in your phone via cable to the USB port near shifter and nothing shows on Mavs display?
You have to have your phone hooked up to use android auto or apple car playI was using the touch screen and adjusting some of the settings and tapped the apps button and it says no mobile apps installed. No phone hooked up
Yep that’s what was throwing me off mine is blank too.. I plan to get a dongle soon. ThanksThe mobile apps section is oddly blank on any Maverick. I guess maybe they're do something with that in the future. You just plug in a phone to either of the lower console USB ports and you should see prompts on both the Maverick infotainment and on your phone to enable Android Auto or CarPlay.
If you try to use Android Auto when you're not plugged in, it probably will just turn on Driving Mode. Which is a special UI for driving but it will not enable the AA functionality in the Maverick's infotainment.
If you really want AA wirelessly, there are dongles for that, such as a Motorola MA-1.
