So I recently discovered my tonneau cover lets in water
and wanted to add some pictures - it seems like everyone agrees SOME water can be let in
and its not 100% waterproof - but how much water is too much?

these pictures were taken after a recent rainfall or going through car wash (the puddle of soap)

I recently reached out the the company I purchased from and they installed it as well - asking if they can do free adjustments or if this is covered under their 3 year warranty

the tonneau cover is a 3 piece hard folding type and was $1200 canadian

on the website it states:
Its clamp-on design makes installation and removal a cinch, and because it mounts flush with your truck's bed rails, it stays tightly sealed and keeps water out.
For even better water protection, the R-Series uses a bed rail mounting system equipped with rubber seals and drain tubes that carry water away and out of your truck bed. That makes sure your cargo is always dry and secure. If you're still not satisfied, the R-Series is backed by a 3-year warranty. There's a reason the R-Series is North America's favorite hard folding tonneau cover.
So - how much water is too much? Am I expecting too much from this cover and the statement provided?

Does anyone else have pictures of their tonneau leaking? is it the same? worse? not as much water?

Thats significantly more than what mine lets through. Bought from Bison, a Canadian company as well
at the time bison was 3-4 weeks eta - I am now debating on cutting my losses here and getting a bison - waiting to hear what the company says first lol

TBH they look like the exact same tonneau cover, definitely see if you can get a replacement first for yours

This cover looks a lot like my BakFlip. A few weeks after I installed it, I rechecked the screw down clamps in the front corners, and gave them another 1/2 turn after noting some leaks in their corners. Two weeks later, I repeated tthe procedure. The gasket that is installed on the bulkhead compresses, and needed to be "reminded" a few times. This cut back on leakage significantly. Worth a try.

There's a gap in the in the plastic trim on the bed , fill that in with some sealer or some double sided tape that should help.

Wow, that’s bad.
My Ford Tri-fold only lets

in a very small amount of water near the upper tailgate seam. Every thing else is bone dry, not a speck of water anywhere else. Only happens after the automated car wash, driving/ sitting in the rain leaves even less moisture.

Not sure if you can even see the water in these pics.

thanks for the reply - my water leak seems like 100x worse than this lol

I wonder if they installed the drain tubes wrong or something?

I agree with most folks here, that's more than it should be.

I don't know how much is too much. But for $1200 it should be leak proof! imho

that's what im thinking lol
what if I had carpet in there vs a liner? it would probably be ruined by now
It is either an inferior product, faulty worksmanship or both! Complain!

I know it's frustrating but I think these flush fit covers are for looks 1st, waterproof 2nd.
I'd really like a nice looking flush trifold but after hearing about all the leaking issues, drain hose issues and fitment I've decided to go old school. Tyger Auto T3 Soft Tri-fold unless someone want's to warn me about it too.
