I have spent some time custom fitting this 4 gallon pancake tank to fit under my spare tire with out ruining the ground clearance for when I go off road. Main purpose is a self filling system for the train horns that are mounted above the rear differential with a quick connect on the tank to use for a flat or to air back my spare set of off road rims/tires I have. Tank has a pressure switch with a over pressure blow off. 200psi tank with a 150psi compressor that also have thermal protection from this brutal Florida heat. Power source wired to the trailer power supply with a cut off switch in case I need to tow some thing off the same power. No messy wire all the way up to the battery. Need to put the spare tire back up but it sits right off half the tank

Alright after much delay I finishes installing the wiring, relay and switch for the horn.

Ingenuity engineering. Thinking of adding a Wolo Big Bad Boy up front like I did in the Mh for pleasant loud sound. Need to wire it so it will sound with the regular horns but with a selector switch to have it activated or not. Your set up is the bomb!

My reaction to hearing these horns is to suddenly throw my grande latte up in the air which, for some odd reason, usually lands all over the offending vehicle.
Can’t be helped, it’s just a nervous reaction to the loud noise.

That is really nice! I didnt realize there was that much room in the chassis. Though I have ideas about doing a solar battery bank in the quarter panel to run my truck fridge.

I got 2 maybe 3 projects that need to happen on it.

1. Solar panel on cap roof with battery hidden in the body, running the fridge in the bed with it's own mount.

2. A thin profile fold flat aluminum bed extender.

3. Some sort of shelf to give the dogs "levels" in the back under the cap.

Then the truck is perfect until the warranty is up.

Look into RV fridges. They run on 12V and only need 100W to begin with. You can easily find single solar panels that will be effective overkill.

Thanks. I've got 2 portable fridge/freezers. I think their startup juice is only like 65 watts. They run on 12v or 120v. Being the el cheapo models the run better on 120v at least to start. I got one setup as a center console in my 96 Bronco I am sitting in. I run a inverter off the main battery and run the fridge off that. I never added a panel to it, so if the battery is less than a year old it will run over 8 hours before it causes starting issues, if its older it will need a jump to start after 3 hours or so. That's why I have decided to run a separate battery bank. Possibly 2 of the largest lawn mower batteries or something like that. That way it's never a drain on the truck.

Sounds good. Wife and I have talked about doin something similar. Talked about getting a cap and a couple solar panels so we can keep those Ryobi batteries charged (for use with their USB ports for my wife's Cochlear Implant) while doing long-term camping. Only issue is I want to hardwire the Ryobi charger but they run at 18VDC compared to 12VDC for the panel. So, I'll need to add a transformer. More efficient to go 12VDC to 18VDC than 12VDC to 120VAC to 18VDC with the one that's attached to the charger currently.

Nice. Talking Ryobi... They are coming out with a 18v battery fridge!

This is fantastic, and I cannot wait to see a video of it in action
