There is no official paperwork yet because the order banks aren't open yet. When they can enter the order you should get a DORA with all information. Plus an order confirmation once Ford accepts the order and thecdealer COVPed it.

well according to Ford support (below) the build site and the order banks open the same day - I checked out the website and it was up and running - but it appears that the order bank is not going to open until 4PM ET. Would it have been that difficult for Ford to put on their support site "the build site will be available starting at 9AM ET but the order banks will not actually open until 4PM ET so any orders taken at the dealership before 4PM ET will not be processed until 4PM so when you leave the dealership you won't be leaving with any paperwork or verification'. Or, you know, something like that. Why does Ford repeatedly leave off valuable information when it would have been just so simple to put together a basic 'how to' guide? from the Ford support site : " The Ford.com Build and Price website for the 2024 model year Ford Maverick will go live on July 17, 2023 and in conjunction with the opening of the order bank. "

I asked the same thing. What happens if my options are not available and I don't like what you spec out without my approval. I don't even know what the price differences will be. Their repeated answer was just wait for an email in the next 3 days.
by then the banks would have closed and if there's some mistake somewhere you'd have to just take what they give you. It's silly, isn't it?

I know right. That is if the order even makes it into the bank before it closes. None of this process has made sense to me but just rolling with it at this point.

as long as the order is entered in time changes/errors are no problem

I went to my dealership this morning and placed my carryover order with the same salesman that has kept in touch with me since last September. He did the paperwork on my order and said he’d send me a copy or screenshot of the accepted order after the order banks opened this afternoon around 4:00-4:30. No new signing of a deal sheet and no new deposit. I trust this guy to make sure it’s done right (can you say “naive”?). We’ll see late this afternoon. He gave me a copy of the build paperwork, but said the deal sheet doesn’t print until the order is accepted by Ford…and that can’t happen until the order bank officially opens.
Let me know when you get your official order accepted from your guy. All I got was a 3 day window and no official person handling my order since it’s being done by a “team”.

Quick "is it expensive?" Check
When min wage was $1.25 MSRP for new six cyl Plymouth with radio/heater was 2,000 hours work time so 2000 hours at $15/hr is $30,000 Work time.

federal minimum wage is 7.25 though if you're comparing apples to apples

And if you don't want a basic truck like above Tesla's Cybertruck started rolling off the assembly line in Austin today. The special feature is the still haven't announced pricing yet. Guess you find out the price when you sign the paper work when it arrives.

speculation i've seen suggests will start at 60k. still a bargain vs ford lightning.

was originally claimed to start at 39,995. lol at that now a few years later. good joke.

btw most of the mid size afaik are undergoing new revamps. this seems to result in short supply, jacked prices etc at first. Chevy Colorado just did, and they went from starting at 20-23k a couple years ago to starting at 30k, granted not apples to apples as they didf away with entry level extended cab and now only crew cab models exist. I would expect similar MSRP rises for Tacoma, Ranger etc as they roll out their new models shortly.

I would find a high volume dealer and place a MY24 with them. There are plenty of dealers who want your business. I have a dealer 7 min from the house, but due to their past incompetence, I have used another dealer 45 min away since '96.
Just curious what the advantage is to ordering through a high volume dealer is vs. a small allocation dealer (assuming they smaller dealer guarantees you one of their allocations).

While the minimum wage may "officially" be $7.25, I don't know any employers who pay less than $12 and hour and most are at $15. My 17 year old son in high schools is making $18 an hour cash at his second job (was making $15 an hour at his last job).

From Ford's perspective the XL went up $805.
Don’t know if it’s been answered yet or not

XL trim went up $1305 from MY23. it went up $500 in early 2023, then again at $805 for MY24

First things first; NO dealer can guarantee you an allocation. If they do, they're yanking your chain. A larger dealer has a larger amount of allocations, therefore, you have a better chance of getting your vehicle built. The simpler the build, the better your odds increase. Allocations are based on sales volume.

Are they accepting 2024 orders though?
