My Lariat comes in about a month. I still do not see any company that makes a really nice fog light kit that somewhat matches the existing lights and style for the truck. So far all the fog light mods seem to look awkward in the Maverick. I noticed that Ram had some lights that look like they may be a nice fit for the truck but no one appears to have tried a retrofit. If you know of a good looking fog light that matches the truck style and fits with a little work me know. I am more worried about fit and style since I can wire the lights up myself.

Someone said to try the upcoming Carlisle,PA truck show in August which I am going to attend.

In the next couple months I'll end up cutting and modifying both some stock f150 fog light housing and plastic weld the recess into the stock Maverick block off. Hopefully it's as straight forward as I'm hoping

Lets us know how it goes.. I'll be checking on some Ram fogs that looked like they would fit and angle properly. Hopefully i can find some at the truck show to measure the size and angling they have with their housings. If they use h11, h7, 9006 or 9005 bulbs i simply put in leds or hids. Too bad they weren't round or else i would put on a halo running ring on them.

I'm hoping someone has something at the PA truck show in one month. If not I'll make my own I guess.

Even people adding them to the Escapes, which some models come equipped with, find it very difficult to add on.

I think if I was doing it, I'd rather just go with a stand alone switch, not incorporated into the system to save myself the trouble. Like adding ditch lights or something... You wouldn't get the illuminated icon on the dash or have the OEM switch, but you'd still have a decent fog setup.

That part is easy, forscan/switch/add wires and you are set
Merging the F150 buckets is what I was referring to

I would probably try to plastic weld onto the bumper probably to see if it would hold some type of mount or frame. I need to see a Maverick up close to get the bumper angle and measurements and then see what light options are at the show to measure them and the angles.....I want something that looks like a real factory light- single bulb with a chrome reflector around it...not these LED add ons that go on my lawn mowers.

Someone posted the measurements for the panel where the fog lights should have been installed. Anyone know where that is...can't locate it.

Found it....panel size is 12" long, 6" wide

I work at a Ford dealer and there's nothing. I've looked at just about every model and nothing looks like it' will work without a major modification. I'm looking at buying a new valance, like the one for the FX4 package with the cutouts for the tow hooks. I don't want to jump into just anything so I'm going to wait a bit, I'm sure someone is going to come out with something before long.

I am waiting for my baseplate to be installed and then getting my 3d printer up and running again. My plan is to try and create a housing (in ABS or ASA) that will snap in and then create a physical connection to the bumper as well.

That is, if I can find the time and energy. I am surprised no one else has done it yet.

3 years and I have yet to see a really nice option from any small manufacturer...not even a Chinese one yet. Let me know if you are able to create something like that.

I too would want something with a concave body that snaps into a cutout that someone can make in the bumper. It could snap in and maybe have screwed in pressure tabs inside to hold it tightly in place and flush with the bumper surface. Then an LED or HID lamp body could be screwed into it from the rear...or use a mounting bracket on the body if more support is needed. Most trucks and cars already have this kind of setup and installing lights is a half hour job if the whole was already there with just a cover. I have half a dozen kits from my old Civic that came with lamps and complete wiring kits for $30!!!. They were low to the ground and had glass lenses so they were easily damaged by stones. I may just see if they will work for the time being. Paying 200-300 for some of these current options is too much since they don't look like something that matches the truck design.

Yea . I'll wait until a bull bar/ brush bar is manufactured at reasonable price with mounting plate for lights .
